Flew QF93 to lax yesterday wednesday 17th and would like to say a BIG thank you to all the crew that looked after my wife and I in the F cabin. Especially like to thank Jan who was just fantastic, friendly professional and did everything with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. Also like to thank Michael who was great!

Crew like Jan will keep my wife and I flying QF for a long time to come.

If red roo sees this could you please pass on a sincere thank you to Jan and her manager from my wife and I.
 
Flew DRW-SYD QF 842 8 Jan 14 wih CSM Boon-what a great ad for QF cheerful throughout and her team responded to her demeanour as well. Performance was helped by catering providing a superb Chicken Parmy as the meal. If that team was the norm there would be a lot less complaints about QF.
 
The crew in J (Juliet & Anita + one more I can recall her name - all BNE based crew) on my CBR/BNE flight QF1554 on Mon night (12/1). Service was very friendly, refills offered and chatted throughout the flight
 
To CSM Holly on QF899 12 Jan beside giving us wonderful friendly service...including good natured banter about the supposed"breakfast" which consisted of some sort of egg and bacon concoction wrapped in pastry...... sorry getting O/T but venting....one passenger felt ill so she put him in a business calls seat, got him water and wet towels and wiped his brow!

She really looked after him. I wanted to become ill myself!! lol

It makes a big difference when the CSM is great like Holly as it rubs off on the whole crew. It was a great flight.
 
Two terrific experiences in J on the subsidiary Jet Connect.

30 Jan Mel-Akl evening flight, Alison looking after the J cabin. Very friendly, personal touches and good humoured. Others in the crew happily helped out as needed.

1 Feb return Akl-Bne, Elana (I think, part of an all kiwi crew) did much the same.

Seemed both flights neither lady had much downtime and were looking after passengers pretty much non-stop for 3 hours. Great job and much appreciated.
 
And thanks to our male FA on QF598 from Perth yesterday-7/2.
Got upgrade to J.Seat 1A.And a great crew to top it off.
Not bad for a QPPS.
 
Thanks to Charles for an amazing service onboard QF546 on Tuesday. On that short flight he managed to refill my wine glass 5 times, offer me a second J meal (which I politely declined) and give some extra Lindt chocolates to bring home for the missus.
This guy have such a genuine and positive attitude which reminds me exactly why I love flying Qantas.
 
My highest praise goes to Emma as part of a Jetconnect crew. Mum and brother flew QF 149 on 13/3 and chatted to her, and said that her other two sons were flying tomorrow. My brother and I were greeted with an "I've been expecting you two" and whilst seated in Y, were treated with business class headphones, extra drinks, food (and about 30 Lindt balls :D ) etc. The 4 of us then boarded QF126 on 15/4 (in Y) and were treated to pre departure bubbles etc and a bottle of wine upon arrival, with a lovely note from Emma. She really gave us a reason to smile after a fairly ghastly reason to be visiting NZ, so thanks to Emma and Qantas!
 
Our thanks to CSM Michael and the entire crew on QF617 on 03/04/2015, took great care of us and nothing was too difficult.

Flying with a three year old is never easy, but, Michael and the crew did everything they could to help.

Service like this is why we fly with Qantas.

Went over and above to help with my hangover, Sydney weather delays and just generally a top bloke.
 
Good to know , may need his services , what did the help consist of ?.

It was something with vodka and ginger beer and juice (Orange and something else) from what I could tell. It was his secret recipe, but after a few it worked a treat.

The cabin crew on QF846 last night were terrific. James the CSM was very polite and friendly with all guests, even asking the woman in 6A if she minded someone being seated in C (B &C both empty). She agreed and so James went the extra mile for her. However the moment the seatbelt sign went off someone else jumped into 6C. Despite a subtle suggestion from James that he was intending to move another passenger, Mr Seatsnatcher didn't budge. I think James showed great composure and restraint not telling the rude bloke to go back to his assigned seat. Not sure what he told the woman who had been promised row 6.

My direct experience was missing the distribution of chocolates after the meal service because I was in the loo. Major crisis! I waited down the back so I didn't have to push past the FAs... Once they were done they thanked me for waiting, asked me to put out my hand and then gave me so many Lindt balls that I had to catch the excess with my free hand.

Yes I can be bribed with chocolate, but hooray for James and his team!
 
Last night, 2 June, the 155 flight from Melbourne to Auckland. Travelling in J. Allison the CSM (who I have praised before) and Melissa who actually looked after the J Cabin - absolutely outstanding. Two of the loveliest, friendliest, most helpful and efficient FAs I have had the pleasure of being on board with.
on an older aircraft where IFE screens were playing up, seats were not reclining or holding position properly etc, they met every challenge with a genuine attempt to help or a practical solution. On their feet the whole time - didn't rush the service so they could turn off the lights and relax (though I note one or two people who were trying to rest may have preferred that). Clearly lots of WPs and above on board as a few glasses of champagne and J headsets discretely made their way back to the Y cabin. Took security obligations seriously when the pilot / co-pilot stepped out of the coughpit.
Seemed to enjoy their job and the interactions with customers. made it a real pleasure to fly. They also make a mean Bloody Mary...

will leave more direct feedback but hope this gets through too. Thank you Alison and Melissa.

As an aside, this was the first in 3 recent trans-Tasman flights where an amenity kit was handed out. Sadly the same menu I've had recently so some variety would be nice.

We Really felt welcomed upon taking our seats on the front row of the Economy section of the A330 by being introduced by the warm & bubbly CSS Vanessa Macleod .

A FA from J came by & offered us both a champagne before take off from the business class section, which was certainly not expected.

During the flight Vanessa, approached us & was highly engaging & wrote out a fantastic list of great restaurants, Bars & markets to check out whilst in Hong Hong which we thought was superb, as Vanessa really showed her fondness for Hong Kong as a destination.
I am pleased to say that we took up a number of Vanessa's recommendations, including Din Tai Fung in Causeway Bay for some awesome Michelin Star Dim Sum.

Another outstanding FA was Elisha, whose witty sense of humour had us in stitches through out the flight & shared with me her tremendous knowledge of aviation as being a pilot herself of small single engined aircraft.

Both Vanessa & Elisha were highly attentive throughout the flight & were always looking out for us & providing us more food & drink without any promoting.

Later in the flight, the CSM Louise Flitcroft Paisley approached us & I instantly recognised Louise on a number of Qantas YouTube videos regarding the Qantas Pathways Jumbo Joyflight.

We had a fantastic conversation about Qantas Pathways & as president, Louise's passion for this wonderful charity really shone through.

Upon disembarking we were warmly thanked for flying with Qantas by a genuine handshake by both Vanessa & Louise.

This once again a flight, where the service onboard Qantas went over & beyond our expectations & it's no doubt with service like this why Qantas International is making a great come back.

Hmmnnn, I suspect that Red Roo is actually working very hard when on AFF and is therefore NOT drinking - especially at midnight EST when they/she/he have been observed in action :). I suspect the big drink comes after getting off AFF ;).
 
Red Roo has discussed their nocturnal viewing of AFF with me as recently as this morning ;). They have also been known to view AFF in bed (like most of us may do from time to time). But this level of dedication and their ability to pass on the information to the relevant sections in QF is outstanding.
