Did anyone else receive a receipt from Hilton Adelaide in the mail?
Did we have a special Ozfest rate? I prepaid an back in January and used the 20% off card and the final amount charged is much lower.![]()
Received a call from "Teddy" the assistant manager at Adelaide today and my point credits have been rectified. I now have the 7K+ I expected. (I employed the 50% bonus under myway as for me, any folio over USD200 is worth more than flat rate airline points/miles.... Anyway, I am missing 5300+ HHonors points with My Gold and Double Dip bonus option.
I contacted HHonors who told me to contact the hotel as they did not have a folio "as yet". I spoke to the "Assistant Manager" who asked me to send an email with a copy of the "Hotel Stay Point Details". Which I have done....
I could have had over 11,000 for this stay but there was more value to me getting ¼ of a "free night anywhere".... No real panic as the more important Stay and Night Credits have posted .
The refund I received is much bigger than the 20% off for member for a stay card. It would appear they have used a special rate for Ozfest. Still nowhere near enough HHonors points.I received a receipt for my refund, but is exactly what I expected, and still not in line with what points I got.
JohnK,Something weird going on then. The rate I got was significantly lower than the one booked during the January sale which is why I thought there may have been a special Ozfest rate.
JohnK,
This might be one of those times when silence s appropriate :!:
Have you been in touch with HHonors to rectify the points for your stay? I have not had a chance as I have had limited internet access this week and I will be away for 2 weeks. For the Honors points I got, the special rate would have needed to be about $12 per night![]()

Result?Hhonors are investigating.
QF WP of FlyerTalk said:I registered for the “Double Base Points per Stay” and stayed at Hilton Adelaide for 4 nights during FT Do "ozfest 7". Had 2 rooms and put all through 1 bill - $1,151.50 AUD, so expecting a fair brace of points

Needless to say, I've lodged a request for crediting the correct amounts and getting my AA miles. Let's see if they get it right.

It appears Lindsay Wilson has had the same problem:
My Oz Fest points for the ADL Hilton posted OK but when I went back a couple of weeks later the points did not post correctly. I simply rang through to HHonors and they were fixed on the spot.
I actually got the impression that my return trip error was was more a 'not another one' silent type comment from HHonors. The points that posted were slightly more than I was entitled to and were rounded off which also made me think they took an educated guess when allocating.I suspect mine had to go back to the hotel. The rep I spoke to just looked at my folio and said something's wrong with it, as my folio indicated a very cheap room![]()
Also asked them for a FastTrack back to Gold. She put me on Hold and came back after a while to say that they had upgraded me back to Gold, without the need for a FastTrack. Just logged out and logged back in and sure enough - HHonors Gold VIP below my name. Woo hoo
With 2 stays at MEL Airport and MEL Southbank next week and a trip to Perth next month, should get me on track for re-qualifying Gold for next year (very important, given our 6 week trip where we'll be burning all my points on award stays - plus a couple of paid ones).
