Can you believe this [No XL PJs in F]

I am surprised that XL is actually large enough for the doctor. I am 6 foot one and I primarily need XL for the length and not the girth.

I do have the disadvantage of no sighting the poor chap and just took the position that girth was a priority over length.

Personally I don't think I would have had the nerve to actually get off the plane because of this. I think I might have mentioned I wanted to disembark but then retracted it and used that to my advantage for a free upgrade next time. Maybe these guys had had a bad day though and this was the "Straw that broke the camel's back". If they had paid full price though they should get what they pay for.

EH

Perhaps, considering the ongoing interest in the thread.. The topic.., if not done yet, now that the Olympics are almost over, could be relegated to A Current Affair or Today Tonight.. for the rest of Australia to be duly entertained
Just a thought!

Are the PJ's in F (QF) significantly better than those in J ?

I know that Mrs GPH has seen the CX ( shanghai Tang) version and wants a pair come hell or high water.

Better - probably yes in most people's opinion. Better enough to take an extra 24 hours to get to my destination - not in my opinion.

Shanghai Tang is a superior product. I still have my black with green stripes. Truly collectors edition thes days.

IMO yes.

Although it's not a hard mark to better! The grey J kanga is shocking....."Gandalf the Grey" is not a good look.

I am examining the trouser section of each at the moment (whilst they are not being worn by anybody I hasten to add ).

There is a label on each which is identical. Qantas logo at top, 100% cotton, usual warnings (do not dry clean etc.), then Buzz Products, Creative Product Agency

For my money the only difference is the colour (and I prefer the grey business ones anyway :))

Given this scenario, if the good Dr was indeed sufficiently empowered with enough knowledge, would J PJ's and an opportunity at post travel compensation been a potential better outcome?

Let's all do a hypothetical, if we were in the same boat, how would we play it? I dare suggest with a little bit of boss Reggie's patented chocolates technique and a dose of DYKWIA F entitlement the outcome could have been much more worthwhile, no?

I would take the J PJ's and request they send a couple of pairs of the F ones to me. That's probably all the compo it requires.

If they didn't have any at all and I was travelling in a business suit intending to go to work on arrival I would probably be a little more upset.
