Has anyone tried using the promo code, despite not actually being at the front of the queue? Wonder if it works or they detect that it's not actually your turn

I doubt the queue number is relevant anymore when the booking page errors out when you get there.

That’s what happened to me. My advice - do not refresh because it puts you to the back of the queue but then don’t know what else you can do given you can’t go anywhere.

queuing to see the error - they might as well make a draw and send a one-time use-only free ticket code to book which is linked to your passport name only.

That's what they did in the Indonesian giveaway. It was not nearly as chaotic.

No luck with that. It gives the error "The discount code you have entered is only valid for members or a specific membership status. Please sign in to your account and try again." even though the screen shows as logged in!

Yeah, I think they patched that shortly after I posted. It worked before (entered the code and went straight into the exclusive ticket queue, if I didn't enter the code I went into a different queue - the paused one)

Got to here and it crashed again. Refreshing the page doesnt do anything.

I managed to get two tickets. I successfully logged in with my partner first, then when that got confirmed, I signed out and logged in to my account and just searched thru the front page with the promo code. Thankfully, it still retained my partner's queue and I didn't have to go back. It's $535.11 return for Perth

I got in, didn't get any errors and managed to find flights. But even with just paying the taxes, the cost was $551, which for a "free" flight wasn't worth it for me.
Good luck to someone else who wants this more than me.

After refreshing a few times and it not working, it kicked me out to the back of the queue. I was initially ~4,200. It kept showing telling me to refresh the page. Unfortunately, that didn't work

Its definitely not free, however based on going rates to HKG these days (>$1000), its certainly a good discount

I don't think Cathay ever said they were 'free'...

I snagged one ticket (miracle since 7000+ in queue) was $557.32 worth it as already had planned to go on an asia trip so saved a bit on air fares.

I was initially 19xx in the queue but I have still not been able to book. My screen also no longer has the queue number on it. Does anyone else also have this issue?

I think that there is some issue with the Queue IT system. I was initially 19xx in the queue but people with 4xx_ and 7xx_ have already bought tickets. My queue screen also no longer shows a queue number. Does anyone else also have this issue?

Same here, got in front of the queue and say there is errors.
I suspect they kick out corporate IPs.
