This is definitely a very smart way for Qantas to get all our real identities.
I would much prefer if we can do this without having to provide our QFF number.

Thanks to Red Roo and Qantas for the offer.

Accroding to Google, Tuesday 12th of March is the day after a public holiday (11 March) in ACT, TAS, VIC and SA. This may help/hinder some of you to get the day off work.

Regarding my own attendance, I shall send in some questions/comments by the deadline, however I can't confirm my availability until after some contracts are signed, etc.

Furthermore, as with Mal, it is likely I will be abroad (Singapore). In which case, I don't know if QF would be willing to fly me in and/or whether I would be willing to spend that long in economy class, assuming that is how one would travel.

Qantas should already who I am, and I'm sure they don't think I am anywhere near as important as I like to think I am :p

One of those TDKWIA people and I'm not telling? :p You do realise entry is voluntary, don't you?

They already know who I am courtesy of a visit to the 787 Dreamliner last year.

So here's 3 questions:

If QF are offering free flights to attend (for winners), are they also including airport transfers?

If QF ARE offering transfers, are they offering "transfers" for Sydney-siders?

And if not. Why not?

And, They aren't my actual questions :)

Thank you for your friendly coments. If you don't mind that a private company knows the real identities of thousands of AFF members, then I respect that and I encourage you to replace your AFF handle with your real name. I do mind and I ask you to respect that too.

Of course it is voluntary to participate, which is why I won't participate, I just want others to think twice about the possible implications before handing out personal information.
As far as I can see, there is no need whatsoever to ask for the QFF number, if people are only selected based on their three questions. Last year it said they need it to contact us, but surprise, winners got notified by PM!

Anyway, I don't want to spoil your fun, good luck with the competition. :)

And as adults I think you can respect that each person will conduct their own personal risk assessment and make a decision accordingly.

Free on Tuesday 12 March and would like to join us for lunch at Rockpool Bar and Grill in Sydney?

We would like to invite 20 members to have lunch with Lesley Grant (CEO Qantas Loyalty). Winners flights will be included if not from Sydney.

I'm guessing that it would not include flights from London, so no point in me answering?

Well if you look over my posting history, despite what some think, I have been a vocal and outspoken critic of QF, Neil Perry and the QFF scheme - having supplied my QFF number last year I was still invited.

I can honestly say that since QFF found out who I was I don't appear to have had any form of adverse outcome.
