Well if you look over my posting history, despite what some think, I have been a vocal and outspoken critic of QF, Neil Perry and the QFF scheme - having supplied my QFF number last year I was still invited.

I can honestly say that since QFF found out who I was I don't appear to have had any form of adverse outcome.

+ 1 ( but I love Neil Perry :D )

.. or positive either ;)

Actually I have had positive experiences that would be connected to them knowing who I am through this and not through simply my QFF status.

All you need to do is provide us with the 3 questions you would like to ask the team about the program, including the new Emirates partnership. We will pick the winner's based on what will spark the most interesting conversation. Winners must have been a member of Australian Frequent Flyer for 12 months to enter.

Just bringing this up in the thread.

I actually think that the individual profile of the applicants is as important the questions that they ask. There would be no point getting just views from a bunch of P1s or PSs and at the last one a few were soon to be minted P1s as P1 was sort of launched at that event.

Unfortunately only arrive in Sydney at 4pm.But the gesture is appreciated.

so any response on whether or not international flights to SYD are included? :)

I totally agree. I think some refreshing comments from lowly silvers who have been retrenched from gold would be totally appropriate. :)

I'm flying SYD-ADL the day before to start a holiday. I suppose I could fit in a day trip to Sydney.

correct! actually they want the people with no status! If you have status you're either handcuffed to the program, or are happy enough to keep flying. They need to win back those who have left!

Free on Tuesday 12 March and would like to join us for lunch at Rockpool Bar and Grill in Sydney?

The Australian Frequent Flyer management team (admin and all moderators) will not be available for selection.

Bugger :(...and double bugger :( :(

I'll just have to wait for the video - I presume it will be on YouTube like the first one, Red Roo?

Thank you for your friendly coments. If you don't mind that a private company knows the real identities of thousands of AFF members, then I respect that and I encourage you to replace your AFF handle with your real name. I do mind and I ask you to respect that too.

Of course it is voluntary to participate, which is why I won't participate, I just want others to think twice about the possible implications before handing out personal information.
As far as I can see, there is no need whatsoever to ask for the QFF number, if people are only selected based on their three questions. Last year it said they need it to contact us, but surprise, winners got notified by PM!

Anyway, I don't want to spoil your fun, good luck with the competition. :)

When I won one of the two AFF spaces at the A380 Tweet & Greet, they did ask for your QFF number to enter. Red Roo announced in the thread who the winners were, and then had the social media team send out information emails, which were received at the email address on my QFF profile. I suppose it's just easier to have that information all ready and available, rather than have to wait for each winner to contact them. It would also have been easier for them to monitor my connecting flight, as I only visited Sydney for the day. :)

So basically you're saying you're not willing to commit to attend unless you win and even in that case you might say no to protect your privacy.

BTW Red Roo is an official verified company rep as such they are bound by privacy legislation, I'd imagine.

They need to win back those who have left!

Or who possibly might be reconsidering their options in the light of their favourite flight being summarily cancelled!

Anyway, as to the personal info thing, I'm much more frightened of what an Everyday Rewards card might show about me when coupled with points from my credit card into my QFF account - I think someone putting all that info together would have a very good idea of lots of things about me. Hence I do not have an Everyday Rewards card. (Plus, I tend to shop at IGA or Coles).

Nice one. Alas, I have no questions to ask - Guess I won't bother ;-)

try some dorothy dixers! Here's one to start:

Congratulations on the successful tie-up with Emirates. It promises to be exciting! What great benefits can I expect with this seamless alliance? :D

I think I can get the day off work to head up to Sydney. Hopefully, they are interested in hearing the perspective of a Bronze member who is interested in the value to a program of infrequent travellers.

Questions submitted.
