Chasing the perfect Fuji shot

Sailaway from Manilla. We were having a later dinner after our late lunch. There were fireworks.

We went to Indochine for dinner. This has become more popular with us as they have a few more non spicy options compared to the past. Contrary to some people's opinion Asian food is not necessarily spicy. One part of the Mains Menu.


Tonight we both had foie gras accompanied by a beef consomme. not a combination I would have thought of but it was very nice and we treated it as having 2 starters.




I like spicy food so I had the lemongrass beef which was excellent.


Mrsdrron had char sui beef which she enjoyed.


Mrsdrron had rice with her main dish and I noodles.


She also had the excellent kaffir lime and ginger creme brulee whilst I tried their trilogy of desserts.


A bit disappointing so will go back to the creme brulee.

The next day was a sea day. I woke early and experienced sunrise.

Once again lunch in Atlantide.




It was a complete turn around from the night before.
I had the Ceviche and the Bigoli. Both excellent.




Mrsdrron had the pork tenderloins and the meringue. She enjoyed both.

That night we had dinner with one of the International hostesses in Atlantide.








Mrsdrron again had the beef tartare which she enjoys and I started with the spiced octopus which I liked.


For mains she had the lobster and I the lamb loin. both nice.

The next morning we were sailing into Kaoishung.

One of the ships moored in the harbour began to move whilst we turned to reverse into our terminal.

The ship appeared likely to hit us.

No busses for the excursions.


They arrived soon after and we were off.

We were headed for the Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum and Monastery. Certainly an impressive place.

Like a lot of these "religious" attractions there is definitely a money raising side.

But quite a few of the flowers were fake,

And now we are At our next attraction The Lotus Pond. I did this on our last cruise so Mrsdrron and I just did our own thing.
