China - never a dull moment!

How to stay dry? .................. Use an umbrella silly!

Stop being silly - she has the umbrella for the sun. Umbrella's in China is primarily for blocking the sun. Using them for rain is well down the list - just below assaulting your boyfriend/partner for fun in a cutie outrage for no reason - cause you are a cute little girl that people expect you to do that.

Just experienced one very dull moment - checked in PVG and realised left my iPone 6+ on back seat taxi - SQ staff trying to call but fair chance is on silent so I think I can kiss that one goodbye - never got taxi receipt so cannot follow up that one - serious bummer!

Been there - did that with a Nokia with 200 RMB credit on it back in 2010 - rang and rang for 4 hours afterwards, then switched off and never to be seen again. Was as I pulled up in Taxi to Shanghai Central Train Station.

Yep went down that path - was clearly visible with green dot beside it indicating on and track able - pushed 'Play Sound' like a doz times then after 10mins or so then showing grey dot - obviously whoever has it turned it off - no alternative other than to select 'Erase Phone' - allegedly all data will be erased next time connect to net - well so Apple Help says.

Losing phone a bummer - but losing that 3D Marilyn Monroe phone cover is devastating! Boy is Cruiserette ever going to be pissed off when I tell her I am going back to PEK next week to get a new phone cover !

Security at PVG greatly enhanced since that episode a month or so back - at entry to T2 every bag subjected to explosives swab - all entering terminal are then corralled in the typical Chinese red rope enclosure until swab tested - then released to checkin lanes.

As usual post immig the security lanes are like 20 deep - so as always head right and keep walking to Channel 26 - zero people is security line so bag dropped on conveyor right before scanner - it's a beautiful thing.

Didn't have to look to far to find a girl friend going over the top to prove a point to the boy friend - but then she paid with her life. I would love to say this is not normal ...... but who am I trying to fool - I am surprised it doesn't happen more often in China, or maybe it does and just isn't reported to us.

Found the same thing with security leaving CAN a few weeks ago - 1 day after Istanbul attack.

I can't say I feel like it was being done too strictly however.. this is China.

Bugger flashing, just use expanding foam mixed with random electricity cables that are in the way.

Gone for dinner, parked in back corner table with back against glass window into kitchen, ordered and waiting to be served, and then looked around to look through window into the kitchen and saw this:

What is this advancement I see? Steel scaffolding??

I know right, am a little shocked still at the amount of Chinese guys that are going around shirtless and few are pulling them up to their chest and exposing their belly only. Feels more Western/Australian - but then I am seconds from Hongqaio.
