Christmas Bonus Of Up To 10,000 Velocity Points (2018)

As per my earlier posts it took 20 days for Autobarn points to credit on Oct 27.

It may be a monthly sweep; if it is and timings are consistent then look after Christmas.

I'm still waiting for Autobarn points from an actual in-store transaction ~25/11, but I understand several weeks' wait is routine.

On the other hand, my Wilson points from a booking two weeks ago and with the parking actually used eight days ago, are still outstanding. Since people seem to routinely get the points within a couple of days, I've submitted a claim.

You have until the 8th Jan 2019 to participate and up to 12 weeks after that for the points to post. My guess is late Jan or Feb before you see them

To be eligible to receive the Christmas bonus Velocity Points you must earn Velocity Points between 20 November 2018 and 08 January 2019 (Activity Date) with three (3) or more Participating Partners. Participating Partners include flybuys, BP Fuel, Velocity eStore, Midas, Autobarn, Wilson Parking, Sendle, Virgin Wines, Onsport and Skybus. Bonus Velocity Points are calculated on the total number of participating partners you earn Points with during the promotion period and will be calculated at the end of the promotion period. Please allow up to twelve (12) weeks post the 08 January 2019 for your bonus Velocity Points to be credited to your Velocity account. You can only earn a maximum of 10,000 bonus Points during this campaign. Individual terms and conditions apply for Points earn transactions with each participating partner. Purchases made from multiple retailers within the Velocity eStore will only be counted as one (1) Participating Partner

My guess would be late March, or even into April.

Has anybody managed to confirm if velocity will award the 10,000 xmas bonus to all members of a pooled velocity account if they meet the criteria ?

No one has been able to confirm anything as no 2k/5k/10k bonuses have yet been credited.

However, going by the T&C's of the promotion "earn" from participating partners should be all that's needed. "Pooling" should not have any relevance to this promotion.

Not Sure myself??? Are pooled points actually "earned" by each individual in the pool or are they "earned" only by the recipient of the pool?? At no point does the individual members statement actually show they earned anything it actually just shows a zero value earn - only in the description field is an actual value noted.

They are still the one earning the points regardless of whether the points go into their account or not.

If they were ineligible to participate then one could argue they wouldnt even have the option of activating such offers.

Has anyone had trouble getting the tracking email from the e-store for Starlight Foundation? I've received nothing after 2.5 weeks yet Kogan came within a few days.

Starlight foundation website seems a bit tricky. Did you end up looking at a blank page or a thank you page? If it's the blank page you have to refresh that to get to the thank you page. Then the points are awarded.

On for my Christmas 10,000 points:

1) 2000 flybuys transfer
2) BP fuel purchase (part of a larger offer of bonus points I also have)
3) $3 Wilson 1/2 hour weekend parking at 33 Cross Street, Double Bay
4) $2 donation to Starlight via Velocity estore
5) $17.50 Skybus ticket (not needed, but resold on Gumtree for $12).

Total cost for the 10,000 points (not including the fuel which I would have already purchased anyway) = $10.50
