Christmas Bonus Of Up To 10,000 Velocity Points (2018)

On for my Christmas 10,000 points:

1) 2000 flybuys transfer
2) BP fuel purchase (part of a larger offer of bonus points I also have)
3) $3 Wilson 1/2 hour weekend parking at 33 Cross Street, Double Bay
4) $2 donation to Starlight via Velocity estore
5) $17.50 Skybus ticket (not needed, but resold on Gumtree for $12).

Total cost for the 10,000 points (not including the fuel which I would have already purchased anyway) = $10.50

Did something similar, except instead of Skybus I bought something at Autobarn for under $2.

Also, in case anyone was wondering if it would work, I got the following email from estore within 24 hours of making the donation to Starlight:

"Dear xx_,

Our retailer, Starlight Children’s Foundation, has informed us that you made a transaction with them on 1 Dec 2018. As a result you have Velocity Points pending.

Once verified by Starlight Children’s Foundation, your Points will be approved and loaded to your Velocity Account within 30 days of purchase.

With over 200 local and international retailers on the eStore, you can earn even more Points by shopping with your favourite brands"

Well, I’d avoid using Sendle.

I tried them for the first time last week in my effort to get the 10,000 points. Generated the order, organised the pickup. The courier came and scanned the packet but then didn’t take. So I have a package “in transit” that never went anywhere and Sendle charged me for it and now refuse to refund.

Which is not a good way to get good worth of mouth and repeat business.

The only upside is that It’ll post as one of the five and as it’s a new account with them I’ll pick up 2000 bonus points because of a points promotion Sendle is running.

I also brought one hours worth of parking from Wilson today for $5.00 (Adelaide Central carpark)

Apologies if already asked, can I book a bay for after the promotion date and still qualify?
Why risk it for as little as $3?

Whilst anyone can read the terms of the offer as they currently stand, no one can confirm until after the promotion ends and the points are awarded. By then it will be too late.

Oh dear. I have 2 packages ready to go for the 2 accounts I just set up for myself and hubby. Struggling to think of what to send so just sending a small gift to family interstate. Will see how they go. I love their business model and not having to go to PO.

Why would they scan but not take the package? How can they not refund? Would you not chargeback?

In my case picked up as indicated and arrived elsewhere in Melbourne within 2 hours.

Has anyone who used virgin wines seen their points post yet? If so, how soon after purchasing?

Changed my Flybuys setting and sent 2000FB pts to Mrs woodyren to get her over the line with her 5 purchases.

Her Velocity account shows ….

"12 Dec 18 12 Dec 18 Points received from flybuys 870 Points and 0 Status Credits Pooled to Velocity Member ************".

So they hit her account and were sent straight to mine. Do you think this will register as one of the 5 required spends or would it be a safer option to unlink our family pooling and send another 2000 pts which can sit in her account till the 10,000 (hopefully) arrive.

When they came through did they have the correct original date though?

Q re Wilson Parking and Velocity Pts. Both + 1's and my mother's Velocity pts from Wilson Parking posted a day after the booked parking date. It has now been over a week since my Wilson parking date has passed and no Velocity pts from Wilson parking has hit my Velocity account. Anyone else experience similar? and if so, should I be chasing up with Velocity now? and how to? Thanks

Mine posted day after parking too.

Autbarn posted today, purchase was on 22nd November.

Waiting on Virgin Wines to post (like others), my transaction was done on 26th November ... The wine arrived last week (surprised it’s not been fully consumed already.)

I'm still waiting for Autobarn from the 28th Nov :(
