Study: Aussie customers cheat on favourite retailers[/URL]
ICLP to rebrand as Collinson, along with Collinson Latitude and Welcome Real Time

The underlying issue with eStore is that cookies are used to track the purchase which isn't ideal and causes a lot of issues. The operator does have a (digital) solution to this. However, the solution will cost the retailers money and all retailers must move the system. Hence, it's not gonna happen.

There is a secondary issue that when there are issues the Velocity Team doesn't deal with the matters appropriately and I know many years ago the operator was trying to sort this out. IE the operator can tell if you did use the link and the Velocity Team wouldn't understand that "Pending" points meant a successful transaction, also you if you get a high points earn the operator naturally has a "check hold".

I've previously been informed that senior managers at Velocity do actually look at this forum and others for feedback, whilst they don't post apparently it is read.

3 accounts, waiting for one Autobarn bucket to credit. May just scrape in before the deadline.
I've still got quite a few transactions to do today and I'm no longer confident I'm going to achieve the required target.

I don't care when points credit but I struggle to understand how something like the eStore still has issues when it has been in place for a long time. Cheap web programming can really be garbage and not just the eStore.

Yes I threw that last bit in there as green screen order processing would produce the same results 99.999999% of the time.

Does anyone know whether Sendle items have to be left at the drop off centre for points to credit - or do we get points for a no show?

See post #481

I used to be a very frequent user of eStore, starting to use it a bit more these days. During the promotion period I conducted 7 transaction through the eStore and 1 failed to post. (For the promotion purposes it's counted as 1 transaction, but to informing to reflect my usage.) A few years ago nearly all failed to post and the main retailer I had an issue with hasn't had issues for some time. Hence I used to have a contact who used to manually fix the missing point postings for me after checking.

I mentioned the promo at Xmas lunch and about twenty adult faces looked blankly at me. If I wasn't under the slightly slowing influence of a bottle of Bolly I would have signed them all up as relatives under the family pooling thingy there and then.

Haha ive tried that myself. Unfortunately u can only have one adult pooling to you. Or at least that was the case when i tried. And they need to be living in the same household as you too.

Wilsons points credited despite being a no-show, this is for 33 Cross St Double Bay, thanks to the person who told us about that carpark (only $3)
How do you get this for $3 online? Best I can see is $5.50 book ahead.

Would $5 be the cheapest for book ahead anywhere?

Thanks. I booked one for now. Does anyone think if I book another 2 bays for later with same number plate will be an issue?

With eStore I logged into each account and made a donation and then logged out and logged in to next account. I have 4 Starlight confirmations but only 1 eStore purchase confirmation so possibly the cookies are not being deleted and populated with new details?

One more trip to Autobarn and that should hopefully complete 24,000 bonus points. Not sure I want to push to 40,000 bonus points with so little time left.

I would say it is best to delete your browsing history after each transaction OR to use a different browser and deleting history if you want to keep your history .. Better still, use different computers.

Even though you sign out of eStore and log in with new Velocity number? The work computer deletes browsing history but probably should have logged off and back on again. May have to do them again on Smartphone with Secret mode turned on for each.

Incognito/Private mode for browsers is best for estore and other cookie tracking cashback sites.

Just tried that and looks like details are reset again.

I checked first account and first eStore donation is pending but the other 3 donations do not appear anywhere, either on first account or any of the other 3 accounts.

Truly awful stuff.

Velocity eStore How It Works

The Details:
  • Once in the retailer’s online store, the retailer’s terms and conditions apply.
  • Transactions will appear in your transaction history as ‘pending’ within 1 working day*.
  • Points will be approved and loaded to your account within 30 days of purchase.
  • Points awarded for approved transactions will be displayed in your Velocity Account.

Thanks @Bagpuss.

I received the first Starlight email followed by eStore confirmation 15 minutes later. Then another 3 Starlight emails followed by nothing. And that was a couple of hours ago.

As today is last day of promotion I'll do some more donations in Secret mode just in case.

I've never received an eStore confirmation the same day. It's normally the next day.

That said each retailer is different and you may have been "lucky" and conducted your transaction just before it's daily "tally-up".

FYI, there is plenty of commentary in this thread about issues with Starlight crediting and the "fix".

I have followed the whole thread but somehow missed that reference as I have been overseas.

Purchased 3 green buckets from Autobarn Enoggera. Velocity promotion? Yep. Even put one through without card. Wife now has 3 green buckets and part of a trip to HKG. LOL. ;)
