Sorry just wondering if anyone had taken a screen shot of the t&cs as this is the reply i got when i asked about bonus points. I didnt realise it had to be picked up by 31st aswell as i had dropped it at a collection place on the 31st. Thanks in advance.

“I see that your order was scheduled to be picked up on January 2. Unfortunately, the promotion only eligible for a parcel that was booked and picked up between 4th and 31st December 2018.”

The offer was send between those dates and I would argue that once lodged for collection that is was sent especially if you were charged on that day.

I received the BP bonus, the virgin wine points and the autobahn points by no total bonus points yet.

You need to allow approximately 12 weeks for the bonus points to post as per the T&C's of the offer.

I'd be debating the pickup side of this as it is outside of your control and is within the remit/control of them as the provider. Suggest you forward to Velocity.

It's far from unusual for a service to only be charged at the time its fullfilled. While I don't disagree you can debate this, I think that Sendle also have a reasonable argument and hence I'm sceptical of the value of spending much time on it. Send to Velocity for sure but dont invest too much time or angst expecting the reply to be positive.

Please allow up to twelve (12) weeks post the 08 January 2019 for your bonus Velocity Points to be credited to your Velocity account.
By my calculations, 12 weeks from 8th January is 2nd April :(

Looking at the FAQ:
How do I drop off a parcel?

After booking your parcel as a drop off order, print your label out and attach it to your parcel. Then go to your closest drop off location and hand over your parcel at the counter. It will be scanned and accepted into the system. That’s it! Tracking information will be updated on your parcel order on the Sendle system.

------

Was the item you sent scanned and accepted as they mention in the FAQ?
If so then that is when I would consider the item sent, same if I lodge a parcel at the post office I consider it sent once they scan and accept it.

Yep, and for those expecting it much earlier I wouldnt bet on it. We've already seen how long it can take some transactions to work through the system, and am pretty sure Velocity will wait that long (and possibly then some) before crediting as I'm sure they don't want to deal with all the complaints/queries that would arise if they processed on only partial information.

I assume the purpose of the promotion was to show us how easily we could accumulate points through a variety of partners. Having tried out a selection of them, my findings are:

  • Flybuys - instant transfer (irreversable)
  • BP - points credit within 24 hours (can't return petrol for a refund)
  • Onsport - fast free delivery, points credit within 24 hours (before return period has elapsed)
  • Wilsons - points credit within 24 hours (can't return a parking space for a refund)
  • Virgin Wines - no feedback, delivery takes forever, points credit within 3 weeks
  • Sendle - terrible service, very confusing and hard to navigate, points credit within 4 weeks
  • eStore - awkward to use, points credit within 4 weeks
  • Autobarn - still waiting on two sets of points after five weeks, points never credit sooner than 3 weeks

As an exercise in showing us how good some of the more obscure partners are, this could not have been more counterproductive. Apart from Onsport, which I would happily use again based on service and product - and Flybuys, BP and Wilsons which I already use - the process seems to be coughbersome and painfully slow.

Hope to see my Christmas bonus before Easter.

Dunno... been using estore for a long time with no problem, and sendle occasionally and they’ve been fine.

While I don’t doubt some had issues, it’s not universal, and my experience of both estore and sendle is positive.

I've been on the 3-month auto delivery with these guys for years, honestly it's the hardest thing to cancel. I mean I don't mind too much, it's mostly pretty average but their Black Pig and Bentwood labels are very good reds. But anyway, I signed on for a few of the 3000 bonus point deals in Dec and haven't seen that bonus come through yet. Same for BPs 1,200 point three-fill, no sign of that yet. Waiting, waiting.

Still waiting for the 10k points, must be almost at the stage to warrant a phone call...

Makes sense for points to be posted at the end of the T&C date given the slow speed of posting for some partners...

I wouldn’t call yet. I think it was up to 12 weeks until they paid in the T&C. My nephew is still in dispute with one merchant (Sendle) about his 2k points owed as a sign up bonus, which will net an extra 5k points in this.
