Now Plat and booked back on Sat on QF1516

Is there any consensus on accommodation - assuming Canberra arrival at a reasonable hour.
Note one reference to The Diplomat (walkable from rail), one to Novotel,
and last year Rydges (now QT) seemed popular.

I'm at the Diplomat.

Operations question: can people let me know where they are getting on, well mostly need to know for Revesby and Campbelltown. (so I can keep an eye out when we pull in to those stops)

Matt

Unfortunately now bronze, disappointed.

Have a great trip guys, last year's pics popped into my time hop feed yesterday, reminded me of how awesome the trip was!

On at Central, off at Picton. Will bring a nice Red for the journey!

If I come, I will stay at the Hyatt and join at central station.

Still tentative - nothing like leaving it to the last minute...

I'm on at Central.

Not sure where I'm staying yet, if uncle penegal comes I'll join him, but otherwise have been kindly offered a couch by a local! :)

Barring a last-minute miracle, I'm a no-show, which is very disappointing as I loved last year's trip. Next time!

Against my better judgement (to stay home and save money), I am now confirmed for this... I will be coming from downtown Sydney to Central on Friday morning, and then staying in Canberra well into Saturday.

Excellent, as Charlie on the same return flight appreciate if you could look after her entrance to the lounge.

Thursday I'm going to put on say 3 or 4 cartons of beer and some wine plus softies. Better get a few nuts as well.

Matt

Sounds good - I will bring some wine along as I am limited in what I can carry.

Looks like we have a few reds coming.

I may start on a beer, so if you are loading her up tonight, could I please request that you add some for me and I'll fix you up on Friday?

Have 4 cartons of beer to share, yes, good to ease into the trip with beer before hitting the concentrated stuff.

We plan on bringing some wines as well, however limited to amounts due to carry on. will there be a good supply of ice on board?

One of the drivers himself offer to bring the ice.
