Sad state of affairs. Used to put through 30k per month.
Just holding on for PP and free hotel.
This month spend ....

Are the PP working for the supplementary card holders again?

Only worked for us in the 1st year and would not work the following 2 years. Gave up trying after that.

Never had a PP for the supps even though we applied. Only given to primary cardholder

Yeah, it's a very similar look here too. Now that the Citi Signature is effectively the same earn rate as the HSBC Platinum, my (minimal) non-AMEX spend is shared 50/50 with the HSBC card, leaving not very much at all for Citibank.

HSBC were even very helpful in moving the billing period date for me when asked. My statement date for Citibank is 16th of the month and my HSBC card was 15th of the month. Not very efficient from a maximising interest-free period POV, so I asked them both if they could move their billing period dates. Citibank: No, HSBC: Sure, when would you like it to be?

So now my HSBC billing/statement date is the 1st of the month, allowing me to choose whichever one is closest to having just had its last statement produced to maximise interest free. That's the criteria now, since the points are the same.

Called to cancel my Citi Signature, they tried everything to make me change my mind. Offered to halve annual fee or transfer me to lower tier fee free for life card. Said no thanks. Call lasted 30 minutes!

Best offer I could obtain was a discounted annual fee of $150.

And I don't have half an hour to waste on cancelling a card. And there's no branch to go to to hassle them to get it done. I understand It is goING go to be easier to cancel

That's good to hear. I am going to cancel my Citi Prestige next week, just waiting on a supplementary card to arrive from another bank. Hopefully they will offer something good to stay, considering they are offering 120k points to new card holders...fingers crossed...

This one sits in my drawer still... years ago I was having a fight with Citi about something (which really isn't hard to do) and I pulled the "to make it up to me, you'll need to make my Signature card free for life". They responded with "Ok yes we can do that". Put me in a difficult corner as it killed all my next lines.....

Haven't used it for ages, but it's nice to get the free PP. I did have to pull it out occasionally for the Citi Wine restaurants, however the Qantas Premier card seems to work for that now.

Still can't bring myself to cancel it.

Anyone here keeping their signature fee free for life? I have this and 2.5 to 1 KF seems poor :(

Also I did not know signature has PP? Is it just 2 visits a year?

What other bank issued cards are best for KF non amex.

I use my amex plat edge for AMEX purchases.

thanks. Are there any VISA's (with no fee or low annual fee) out there that have 2 to 1KF conversion?
