9 days later we have received this new CITI card.
Will read all the fine print and if there is something really unusual I will report it.
Credit limit is $30,000 so I have to learn how to load it to pay some really big stuff.
We went for one card @ $700 and so I am supplementary card holder.
1 for 1 QF points here we come on VISA just like KRIS on Westpac but a whole heap more costly.

just apply for the NAB Platinum Card. Am sure it will earn you more points and cost less than half the CB product.
Jeff, can we have a points race?
I thought NAB was 0.66 per dollar so you would need to spend $1.5 million on your cheaper card to get just one million points. If that is the case you are now half a million behind at the same spending rate.
Now you can get more than 1.5 First class tickets worth a retail value in excess of $30,000 with 500,000 points which seems to make the $700 fee a lttle modest.
If your annual Visa spend is say sub $100,000 which would be 90 per cent of users then this card is not for you as the $700 fee raises the break even point compared with the NAB card mentioned.
There are still lots of places that don't want to take Amex because their merchant charge can be 4 times the Visa processing cost and traders are trying to cut costs rather than increase them at the moment.
So about 9 out of 10 could save $700 as has been suggested.
Mmm I think I'll stick with my Citi platinum 1:1 QFF uncapped for $49!
I presume you are talking about the fee free deal on the Platinum with a $49 fee for Qantas rewards, which is what I have but without having taken up the Qantas option. I was under the impression that this card was capped at 120000 points pa, although the capping seemed to happen a little haphazardly?

Good news. Was told my Select was approved. Can't wait.
