Citibank "4th night free" perk

I just booked a hotel in Osaka through luxury escapes, it has free cancellation but the entire amount was prepaid already, does the credit still post a few days after the transaction or only after the stay?
came within 48hrs last booking i made. I've made 3 bookings and all were very quick. Also cancelled 1 and refund was also very quick unlike the previous operators who said refunds would take 6 weeks.

Ok 1 more data point, booked yesterday and this time i was only charged for the 3 nights. When i look at the booking though it shows the total amount with the 4th night refunded. So worked out basically instant.

Note i only checked today, didn't look at the time of booking.

Just a quick question for those who have used the luxury escapes 4th night free code with their Citi Prestige mastercard - what does 'credit' mean in this scenario? is it direct refund/cashback to the Card itself, or is it luxuryescapes credit?

Adding the code and not really seeing it do anything to the cart before checkout doesnt inspire confidence. Don't want more luxuryescapes credit, but 25% off a 4 night booking is definitely worth it.

You are charged a reduced total, or charged the full amount and subsequently receive a credit on your Prestige card. It's not Luxury Escapes 'store credit'.

In my case, I was charged:
Total - (Total / 4 nights) + credit card surcharge = Final amount

Also to add, your credit card transaction may still show the full amount for a while. It will get reduced if you used the promo code properly.

I used it last week. Was charged the full amount then received a 25% credit on my card the following day. The credit showed as if it was a refund from luxury escapes not citibank.

So while the selection and prices have taken a big hit, at least they’re quick with the credit now and you can bank on getting the full 25% back.

yes, full 25% inclusive of taxes now and if you cancel the whole booking you get a refund within days. I was quoted 6 weeks from one of the previous providers.

although the operational service is significantly better the pricing and selection is significantly worse at least from when they were using expedia.

Anyone got experience with how they credit if you do a 5 night stay? The t&cs seem to suggest the rebate is one night.

Has anyone tried booking 2 rooms in the one booking with this perk? Do I get the 4th night free back based on the total booking price?
