so you got the discount applied to the total booking or only against 1 room?
Technically the total booking. So against 2 rooms across two bookings in my case. No reason why it shouldn't also work for 2 rooms in one booking.
I'll include full details below for clarity what happened.
1. Booked room 1 (called Grand Deluxe) on Luxury Escapes with CITIPRESTIGE code for 4th night free.
2. Got refund for 4th night free as per usual.
3. Decided I needed an additional room so booked room 2 (called Deluxe) on Luxury Escapes with CITIPRESTIGE code. Note the two bookings are for the exact same dates as Citi does not allow consecutive bookings to avoid people getting 2 nights free out of 8.
4. Got e-mail from Luxury Escapes that second booking did not qualify as it contravenes the T&C (with an attachment of the Citi T&C).
5. I responded asking whether I can combine the two bookings to qualify.
6. They asked me to cancel the second booking and re-book
the same room type (i.e. Grand Deluxe) to qualify.
7. I asked if I could simply upgrade the room (from Deluxe to Grand Deluxe) for the second booking to qualify, as this was an option under
Manage by booking. I wanted to do it this way so I didn't have to wait for the hold for the booking to come off my card.
8. They responded yes, so that's what I did.
9. Got refund for 2nd booking as per usual.
