hmm, my points where not posting before when I had it like that.

ok, so let me ask, how soon points post ? and where do they post ? do points appear in Qantas account few days after transaction or do they accumulate and then post once a month ?

my points balance still shows zero when I look at "rewards points balance"

can someone help pls?

i applied for the card on the 23/9, but its conditionally approved, does that means if its approved within this week that i wont get the Qantas point ?

The T&Cs were clear. You had to apply by 30/9. That's all that matters. Given what everyone says about how poor Citibank is, it may pay to keep a printout of the offer where this is stated.

As long as you applied through the link offering the bonus points you should be sweet.

thanks for the prompt reply :-) anyone still have the printout ??

Data point. I already hold a fee free for life Rewards (non QFF) signature. Applied for the qff signature last month. Did the spend in the first days. Got the 70k Qff bonus today on the 1st statement. Thanks for the tips regarding the name on file for qff. I changed mine to Mr Firstname Lastname and it worked.

I spoke too soon. The 70k does show on my Citibank statement, but not landed in my qff account. Today, Citibank called me to say that the name and number do not match. So I don't know whether it doesn't match my modified name (Mr Firstname Lastname), or doesn't match what Citibank put in originally (Lastname, Firstname, MR).

the Citibank girl just kept mentioning the name must match what's shown on the Qff card.

does anyone know if the "name on card" can be checked somewhere online? I cant find my qff card. I tried calling qff but gave up after 30 mins hold. May try later tonight.

My QFF card says C Halliday and the transfer definetly didn't work. QFF advised it must match the name on your QFF account. When I changed mine to Mr Captain Halliday it worked the day after the Citi statement was generated.

Thanks Captain Halliday. I don't know what to try as I changed my name to Mr Firstname Lastname 2-3 weeks ago. Perhaps I can keep Mr Firstname Lastname for another month and see what happens. Will report back when I get some success.

Points just posted on the first statement. So far a very good experience with Citi.

Not sure if this helps petertwister but my Citi and Qantas accounts (as shown when logged in online) both show as Mr FirstName LastName.

Denied. Dammit.

I've applied for the Bankwest card and was "conditionally approved" instantly.

I asked for a reassessment. That was handled as poorly as you might expect but I was ultimately approved.

For those in the application stage or wanting reassessment, 1800 807138 has little to no wait time and no "Press 1 for . . ."

I also see the latest offer for this card seems to be 50k for a $2k spend but an annual fee of $199. Citibank is certainly buying a lot of points off Qantas.

I did warn my mate, but he went ahead and applied and got the run around with Citibank after many many phones calls etc he wrote a letter to the CEO outlining every phone call, email etc etc. The CEO apologised and the card arrived the next day. I would have been on to the Ombudsperson a lot earlier, and asked the CEO for double the bonus.

Why anyone chooses to deal with CitiBank I'll never understand. It's guaranteed trouble and simply not worth the drama involved to fight for the points.
