Citibank Plus - No Fee No Overseas Transaction Fee Account

Re: Citibank Everyday Plus - Free overseas ATM withdrawals!

Thanks for that. Your notice was different to mine (which had the exclusions deleted).

Sounds like they made a mistake, because like serfty I did not have the exclusion for Citibank Plus Accounts included in my terms and conditions. Given issues with Citi before, I will request a revised copy of the T&C I received. The matter of devaluation of credit card reward points without warning (since remedied) for transfer to Velocity and Krisflyer is still in my memory and I double check all things with Citibank.

My son keeps having his 28 degrees card stop working this time using Lyft and Uber so he is very annoyed in Los Angeles. Our Citi debit cards are working ok.

So at this stage, the conclusion for fee-free withdrawals is "business as usual", I think. But I will be eagerly testing the outcome early next year....

Citibank confirmed in writing to me that the fees don't apply to my account (Citibank Plus) - so all good :)

My son has had the card declined more than 3 times and my business colleague the same. Never used to be like this and the wait on the phone runs up to 30 minutes to talk to a person. Both advised their trip dates and places of travel so right now I would not be recommending 28 degrees other than as a back up to maybe 2 other cards like Citibank debit and Bankwest Platinum or World.

That's not good cove. Have been travelling with my 28 deg for 2 weeks India, china, HKG and no probs ( cross fingers :)

Is this still the best option for travelling overseas , I have an upcoming trip to USA and Uk for 3 weeks and as I only travel once a year I don't want to apply for a credit card?

Yes.

But they're slow, you may well not get it in time.

It's Christmas / New year - I suggest you start here ASAP: APPLY NOW

Any advice on using this card in Indonesia (Bali - Canggu)? Was planning on using this for cashout, but haven't been to Bali in a while and can't remember if ATMs are abundant or inexistent

ATMs were abundant. Some (inside a convenience store) charge $3.50 fees. Others didn't seem to.
