I rang Amex this morning to chase up my missing bonus points. The CSR told me that the promotion I signed up for ended on 15 March. He was reading details of the offer from my file and the wording of the offer etc was as per the original with the exception of the end date. Naturally I told him that the end date is incorrect and I have information showing it closing at the end of June. I offered to send it through to him, but he didn't want it! He said he would forward my query to the marketing dept
and promised to call me back. I then asked him why bonus points for my purchase in Feb had not been awarded as even though we disagreed about the end date of the promotion, these purchases were clearly within the eligibility period. I got the standard response .... points can take 6 - 8 weeks to post.
So, still awaiting a call back and keeping an eye on the reward points in the interim. I did emphasise that I had further purchases to make at DSE and would like to do so with my Amex, but if the promotion wasn't honoured I would use other means of payment.
