In that case if I was you I would not be to fussed, and I would be crediting to VS . BTW Only get 100km in DRW, including Europcar!

Agree there totally, which is why I don't really worry about the poor loyalty programs from the car co's......I just do best deal on the day (which includes whether or not I need unlimited Kms).

That is quite a reduction in the long term benefit of this benefit. It is great for a status match now but wont be part of a decision for me to switch completely to VA as I initially considered.

I was going to do the HHonors MVP fast track to gold on our visit to the US in October.
Now I should be able to apply for HH Diamond and enjoy the benefits straight away
And... maintain it for the full 12 months.

Looking forward to trying some of the Hiltons in Australia now.

Stayed at the hilton in ADL earlier this year & they looked after me really well. Imagine how much better that would be if I were HH Diamond! (the savouries were just great in the lounge. Alas! i was there on my own AND had to work the next day)

I think we need to contrive some sort of weekend that really showcases what DJ have given us here. Couple of cities, few lounges, couple hotels ... Sounds like fun to me!

I once travelled back with a TA from NYC, she was thinking about doing a day driving trip to the rock from Sydney!

I take it you understand why I credit to VS......which give a 10% bonus to Hertz Gold or 1100 points per RENTAL. The Hertz guys in Darwin still have not worked out why I return the car and pick up another one each day

50 Hertz rentals with 1 club bonus will get you a return PE ticket SYD-HKG. Thats better value the QFF credit for car rentals, unless they have double/triple points promos.

Hmm - I agree that this is a great benefit. if my status match comes through soon I will be doing my best to get the HHD status before my trip in late September. I then have a trip to JED in Nov and possibly another trip in March - so I might be able to squeak a fourth stay in to extend as I am hoping to go to Hawaii in late Sep 2012...

All that is great but I am not sure it is factor for me to move my travel to VA permanently.
