I rang Amex again today to recheck information on the Marco Polo offer. Applications for membership to close end of Feb '12, and the advise previously given that membership is only for 1 year and that you must meet CXs requirements to requalify was confirmed.

I don't really need it, but I'll think about firing the application off to them come next year.

The invite came on a card with an attached application form, and this is what you need to apply. I believe it was, or is, available to all platinum charge card holders (until end of February 2012), as it doesn't require you to 'register' online, like some other targeted promotions.

Found out that this was a targeted offer....sent to those who had spent money on their card in locations that Cathay fly to. However they will send others the offer if they enquire....

So did it take the six weeks they claimed it would be for it to arrive? I can see that they have created my account and that I am now CX Gold but I'm about to head to Europe on CX in two weeks' time and was hoping the welcome pack would arrive before then.

You shouldn't have a problem if you can see the account has been created. Enjoy the perks.

On a related note, does your supp card holder get the Priority Pass membership too?

On my UK issued Plat AMEX Charge Card both myself and my Platinum (only) supp card holder both get the full Priority Pass membership. Other supp card holders (Gold, Green) however, do not.
