Re: 54

Logically you should not get a 36, but I suppose a 357° runway could round to 36 rather than 0.

Certainly won't find a indicator of 360° on most quality compass.

I have this vague memory that they ran from 01 -> 36.

Re: 54

I thought it was universal that line went under the figure to indicate number

also don't forget you are viewing from the wrong side... the plane in picture is taxying to the holding point (and the number)

Your post is indeed verified by at least the following article:

h2g2 - How Runways Are Designated

"If a runway is aligned north-south, then it is 18/36, not 00/18. The lower number is always listed first."

So there won't be an 00 ...

My comment was tounge in cheek - represented by the laughing face at end - but was expecting the responses.

No. 61

I was in the Melbourne Virgin lounge yesterday, I looked down and saw:

In the absense of an alternative 61, can we move on to 62?

Watched this Rangy being hoisted on the back of the truck outside our hotel in Covent Garden, London - In the preceding days they plastered it with parking tickets.....the parking fine all up would have been horrendous:shock:
