I dug really deep in my collection of photographs but simply cannot find a 55.

However if you can rustle up 55 I'll do 56 :p

I too went through my entire collection (OK, I was bored when this thread started). I can't help you till 60 :S

I thought it was universal that line went under the figure to indicate number :lol:

Drewbles is correct.. There no runway that is 60.. That pic is runway 09. The numbers relate to the runway direction in degrees..

The line is not allowed to be crossed without further clearance from ATC.

Rwy 01 indicates a runway direction of 010 deg magnetic, Rwy 36 indicates a runway direction of 360 deg magnetic. These are normally +/- 5 deg though there are the odd exception to that rule.

Logically you should not get a 36, but I suppose a 357° runway could round to 36 rather than 0.

Certainly won't find a indicator of 360° on most quality compass.
