8 wickets in 26 overs? Unlikely IMHO. If Australia loses too many wickets they will shut up shop and bat out.
...but I think if they are "close", they will keep going for it despite the loss of a "few" wickets....will be very interesting to see how this pans out.
Still need 110 to win in 25 overs...Australia must be favorite still:mrgreen:

...the Q is can the Aussies chase it down without losing 10 wickets;)
Yes. Australia is moving along comfortably....

There is nothing in the pitch.... The English cricketers panicked under pressure!

If you think England still have a shot the odds are now 100.

Interesting batting statistic today.

England scored 70 runs in 54 overs.... Australia has scored 92 runs in 17 overs.

I have stopped watching the game. Just cricinfo on my desktop to update the scores.

The capitulation of the English team today has been an absolute disgrace...they might as well hand over the Ashes at stumps today:shock:
67 runs to go, plenty of overs remaining...speaking as a cricket lover but I'm very happy tho as an Aussie supporter:mrgreen:

Australia would still have to be favourite to win.

Agreed. Odds on oz just lifted to 1.12 when they were unbackable just a moment ago. (England down to 34)

All over with 19 balls to spare....

Very disappointing performance from England. As Ian Botham would say "People are asking questions. I am asking questions".

The Poms declaration at 6/550 seems so long ago......

Is 7 the most runs scored of a single delivery?
Theoretically no. it would be possible to score 8 if it was also a no-ball. But I have no idea if 8 has ever actually been scored in a test match.

I had a stack on the draw can't bloody beleive it
Should have taken the 8:1 on offer for an Aussie win at the end of the 4th day. But hindsight is a wonderful thing ...
