Not to disappoint me, he does :D

104.2 Hazlewood to Dhoni, OUT, that's five on debut! A bit of inward movement from a good length. Dhoni was looking to leave, made the decision late, and the ball clipped his inside edge as the bat went up and Haddin takes a sixth catch

MS Dhoni c †Haddin b Hazlewood 33 (53b 4x4 0x6) SR: 62.26
8/394. Aaron & Yadav in at bat.

The end is nigh ;)

No, now it's 9/407. First time in my memory that a substitute fielder has caught out a batsman at The Gabba.

107.6Lyon to Aaron, OUT, that's a stunner at short leg! Classic offie's dismissal, loop and dip, turn and bounce from outside off as he pushes forward to defend. Pops up into the leg side, and the substitute fielder at short leg, Marnus Labuschnage, moves in in a flash and dives forward to take it inches off the ground. I'm not sure whether it was bat-pad or bat tucked behind pad and simply off the pad. There was a hotspot on the inside edge, but I'm not sure if it was the impact of bat on ball or bat on pad.

VR Aaron c sub b Lyon 4 (11b 0x4 0x6) SR: 36.36

Lyon wraps up the tail:

109.4Lyon to Yadav, OUT, And that is that. Umesh goes for the slog-sweep from outside off, and he picks out Rogers at deep midwicket

UT Yadav c Rogers b Lyon 9 (21b 2x4 0x6) SR: 42.85

All out 408.

That's a very impressive morning for Australia - 6/97 in the morning session.

In the stats, seriously good economy rate by Hazlewood (2.91) and he has set his bar high in his first Test innings.

Now lets see how the batsmen go.

Warner up to his usual batting prowess. Has hit five 4's already in his innings (21 n.o.). Aust 0/27 after 5 overs.

Eeek, you're right, took my eye off cricinfo to get some work done.

8.3Yadav to Warner, OUT, gone! Warner looks to pull, but it wasn't quite short enough for that. He was cramped for room and tried to close his bat face and work it around to long leg, and it went off the top edge, looped up behind the stumps and first slip took a few steps back and pouched a simple catch

DA Warner c Ashwin b Yadav 29 (28b 6x4 0x6) SR: 103.57

1/47 with Watson coming into bat. His place may be on the line.

I shouldn't comment, bad things happen :o :(

1/81 with Watson on 23 and Rogers on 25

Poojan: "14 boundaries in 16 overs. Not quite the start India was looking at. They need to pull things back here for next 10 overs"
They've taken the drinks break.

I...won't...comment

But it didn't help :o

19.4 Ashwin to Watson, OUT, what a catch! Watson came down the track and looked for the big hit over mid-on, gets too close to the pitch of it and hits it low to the right of the fielder, and Dhawan dives to his right to take an excellent low catch

SR Watson c Dhawan b Ashwin 25 (29b 4x4 0x6) SR: 86.20

2/98, with Rogers on 39 and Steve Smith at the crease

Can't wait to see this exchange:

Kohli gave Watson a similar send-off to the one he gave Rogers in Adelaide

then

Raul: "Isn't the point of sledging to put the batsman off his mental game? Don't see the point of giving a send-off to a batsman *after* he is dismissed. See Kohli's face in the Watson dismissal. Not unique to Kohli or India, but this pettiness has become de riguer in the guise of competitiveness."

21.4
Ashwin to Rogers, FOUR, a touch short now and Rogers is quickly on the back foot to punish Ashwin with the cut, brings up his half-century

Now 2/115, Rogers 52 and Smith on 4
