Cricket Test Series 2014: Australia v India

Marsh has teed off - a 6 and a 4, then attempted another into the crowd but didn't get into it and got 3. Now on 98. He obviously got word from the dressing room to get his century and then we'll declare

Can't believe they haven't declared. Batting for a draw is unAustralian. India were lauded for going for the win last match instead of playing safe.

Whilst it's disappointing that he ran himself out on 99, he was well aware of the game constraints and the team comes before the player.

I love the irony of seeing Michael Slater commentating on Marsh getting 99. Pot kettle, so he well knows the disappointment of getting 99 :D

With the ability of their top 6 batsmen, I think Smith wanted to put it beyond doubt. Batting for a draw for 70 overs (when it's not the result they need to keep the series alive) is much harder than bowling for a win. YMMV

OMG. Another wicket. Rahul out for 1. Mistimes a pull, skies a difficult catch for Watson running backwards.
2/5. Mitchell Johnson gets a wicket.

Damn, almost a run out - Kohli mis-times a drive to a diving Warner and runs. Unfortunately Warner was off balance on the ground and threw the ball with his injured right arm back to Haddin, but wide of the wickets.

Battle of words between Kohli and the Aussies - they were telling him what a good run that was :D ;)

All over red rover? Only 2 more wickets and into the tail. Hope we have enough overs to bowl them out.

Or it says that he does not have much confidence in the bowlers to do the tough job.

So that leaves us in a situation where we have no confidence in the batters with their bats, and the bowlers with the ball. But of course, the bowlers bat well, and perhaps the batters should undergo some bowling training. We should be able to reverse the batting order very soon.

Yeaahhh!!!! Vijay out for 11, but a questionable lbw decision - Hazlewood gets a wicket. 3/19

Reviewed the decision - DRS would have given not out - if you can believe it.

Not sure I can believe it either but all the decisions are going our way whether LBWs or catches. You would think somewhere along the way it'll even out even but that's not happening.

The Dhoni catch yesterday another perfect example. Reviewed the catch and found it bounced before being caught. So why not review a catch if player has actually hit the ball or that it did not come off helmet. Not hotspot. A simple slow motion replay of the catch.

When have India every scored 380 in a second innings? Smith feels he has the firepower to clean up India. With 3 down and still 350 to get, their only hope is this pair batting - both would need to score big.

Never a bad thing to have a decent card that can bat to 9 or 10.

Aargh, Chris Rogers puts down a hot chance off Johnson. Kohli up to 49, Rahane on 26. 3/92. Partnership 60
