Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

Breakfast is available until midday, that's why you were "successful" ;)
I have only been to the QF MEL T2 F Lounge around a half dozen times so far in 2013, and after they changed from a noon (as per SYD) to an earlier 11am start time for their full Lunch menu, the whole breakfast menu disappeared between 11-12.

It was my special request to the kitchen to have the Eggs after 11, which the chef nicely obliged, but some of the side order breakfast menu items, that I requested with my eggs, were declined - as the kitchen advised that it had switched over to lunch mode.

Look back to serfty's pics a few pages back http://www.australianfrequentflyer....urrent-f-lounge-menu-40325-20.html#post835974 to see what I presume is the MEL F Lounge All Day menu, with an 11am start time.

First experience in the F lounge that wasn't breakfast. Had to try the salt and pepper squid given all the rave reviews it had received on AFF. Have to say it was a little disappointing. Flavour was fairly bland and the squid was slightly soggy. However the fish burger was excellent. Mrs B's minute Angus steak was very overdone though. Tempted to try more but want to save some room for our first tasting of the degustation onboard.

First time trying the pav at Melbourne F Lounge today. AMAZING!!!

However, how does one manage to eat it in a semi civilised manner?

The Persian Fairy Floss just goes everywhere!!!

I'll be back there Wednesday 12/6 and sadly, will be too early for the pavlova yet again. :rolleyes:

Still, the Buttermilk pancakes with banana, strawberries, whipped butter & maple syrup might have to be taste tested with a report and photographs to follow. Just for AFF you understand. ;)

And here are the photos;

Now in the interests of quality control I had to have two serves with a massage in between. :)

They were absolutely delicious especially with ice cream.

While I'm a little jealous, I certainly appreciate the extensive and thorough efforts of your field research. :)

Currently in SYD F and have had the chorizo and feta cheese tart, wagyu carpaccio and pork meatballs. Ms 340 has enjoyed the carpaccio, black kingfish ceviche (daily special) and swordfish with laksa sauce. All stunning. Thumbs up Qantas. Now we have just another three hours until the AKL flight boards :shock:

Why do all my flights have to be "breakfast" flights?! Would be nice to sample the menu the other side of the clock.....
