Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

Well I'm in the lounge tomorrow night, so Qantas if you can have the salt & pepper squid, thai basil beef and the pannacotta ready to serve at around 9.30 - it would be much appreciated.

My dilemma is I normally have the pav and a glass of Noble One, but will the Noble One Pannacotta and a glass of Noble One be too much Noble One?

Well no Thai beef in the MEL lounge. Had the duck leg, cabbage salad was nice but the duck was dry and leathery. Very dissapointing, may take the chefs a while to get into the swing of the new menu.

Mrs Rugby and I had our first hit out at the Summer menu last night for an early dinner before QF21. We had the Tasmanian salmon sashimi, chicken stir fry with red bean paste, and salt and pepper squid as shared entrees, followed by the spaghetti with bug for mains (rich butter sauce) - all great. We also were treated to a bottle of Penfolds 707, 2010 in the decanter - it was exceptional and my best Qantas wine experience to date. Just before we boarded we also shared a NP burger - it won't be my last. Another great Flounge feast.

Was in last Thursday (didn't take pics as it was the standard breakfast fare) but the first thing I noticed when we sat in the restaurant was that the cutlery pouches had disappeared from all tables. Questioned this with our lovely server (they are all lovely of course) and she said it had all changed overnight. Perhaps they've been sold on Gumtree as part of the AUD2billion reclamation?

A nice entree though was having the Moët Grand Vintage on offer upstairs with a first tasting downstairs before the escalator. A little like CX does in HKG.

Which F Lounge? The pouches were in use on Saturday in Melbourne.

At long, long last I'll be able to have something other than breakfast in the F Lounge. Bless you Qantas for SYD-YVR departing at 2:50pm!

Afternoon All,

Can someone confirm whether the Breakfast Market Inspirations in the Melbourne FLounge are the same as those on the Sydney Autumn Breakfast menu?

Anyone tried the "Quinoa & soya toast with avocado, smoked salmon & sprouts"? .. Has me intrigued!!

Regards,

BD
