Didn't recognize them at all. I've had them in a previous incarnation when they were flat IIRC.

I've only been accessing the F lounges for maybe 3 years, but this was my very first dish if I recall correctly - they were round back then too. I don't have breakfast in the lounges very often but when I do I always have the corn fritters.

Found a pic of mine and apologies I was mistaken they are indeed round

Can someone please post the market inspirations for MEL at the moment?

How often do the market inspirations change? Is it seasonal with the menu?

Cheers

Can't help with current menu, but in my experience in MEL is the market inspirations can change on a daily basis and can be quite varied. Very had to pick. I've sometimes seen items from the previous menu remain as inspirations. Other times it's old favourites like sashimi (but that's now on the menu proper). Not many items and I suspect given the AA inspired items it'd be pretty limited.

The fries were not hot-hot either. Maybe because it was 6:30pm and they weren't busy.

I find this to be quite a regular thing with the F Lounge actually. I suspect they fry them and then sit them in some kind of warmer until they are added to each plate. Each plate also seems to spend some time on the counter waiting for a waiter to deliver to the table.

The Minute Steak is often accompanied by luke warm chippies

Market inspiration today at MEL was the AA Burger for one option; soup (can't recall) being the other.

The fish was extremely nice, the duck had a perfect duck:cucumber ratio (opulently tasty, if a little sinewy) and the Lamb was to-die-for!!!

Just had the lamb again (for the 3rd time in 6 weeks...) and I completely agree, the meat is cooked to perfection.
