I had the roasted eggplant which was really bloody good, the fish tagine which was spicy but not that interesting - the one interesting thing about it was it gave the taittinger I was drinking a creamy quality - and the chocolate brioche pudding which was yum. Forgot a pic of the dessert menu

Thanks for the photos. Will be in the Melbourne lounge for the first time in July. Already plotting my menu choices. :)

The menu items look most delectable. The servings seem to be petite enough for me to be tempted to create a mini degustation of the duck, followed by the lamb and ending the savoury course with the Guinness beef. Would that be permitted?

Yes. You can order whatever you wish from the menu.

The Basket Press? It's a top drop! I've been 'converted' to many wines at the F lounge, sample them there and end up buying a few bottles for the home cellar. Best surprise decant I ever had would have been Penfolds RWT, but it's a tad out of my price range...

Occasionally on specials via Qantas side earning wine alcohol business called Epicure!

Where is my Veuve??? :( At least there's the Perrier-Jouet...
Anyway, looking forward to getting back into the SYD F Lounge next week. It's been 6 months between visits and that simply will not do!

He's an asset to the SYD FL team for sure. His name alludes me right now but along with Nestor on the door they provide impeccable service every time.
I agree. On my last visit there was a little delay to my main course being served and I had a Spa appointment. I explained that I'd have to go. On my way back from the Spa he found me, showed me back to a reserved window table and my main arrived with an accompanying glass of Taittinger. Superb service.

Veuve has been gone a while. Bolly even longer unfortunately.

Has there been an official release of the new menu by QF Red Roo or other media as has happened in the past?

Anyone know the name of the MEL first lounge manager (Day time). really nice guy; keeps service on point.

Thanks to AFF, I'm sitting here in Sydney on my 4th glass of the Rockford Basket Press Shiraz!! I never knew we could ask for wines behind the counter until last week. My life will never be the same!! ðŸ

We asked if there was anything under the counter in March and got told no :-|

Perhaps it is better to ask

So what is under the counter today? :D
