Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

and some more......

Marco & Matt would not have been pleased to see bones on the plate!

I really enjoyed the ocean trout, which has replaced the ceviche this month. I tweeted pics the other day.

Flounged on 4 April.. didn't grab a pic of the menu but as part of 'Market Inspirations' there was a beer-braised wagyu beef cheek.

Seriously, it was one of the best I have had. The meat just fell apart and was unbelievably tender. Came with a side of potato mash and asparagus.

Ended up getting a second...

Aaah... that's a nice dish, and glad to hear it's back.

Last time I ate that dish, it was braised in stout. Rich, falls apart... love it.

thewinchester also speaks highly of this dish.

Thanks for the nice pictures and the report! Will be able to visit the SYD Flounge next week on the way to the states so can't wait :p

Very happy to see the Bol reappear- does anyone know if that's just a short term thing or will they bring it back for good?

It was available in Sydney but not in Melbourne. No idea if it's permanent sorry

There's nothing better than starting a long trip off in the F lounge.
The SYD lounge in the early evening is particularly pleasant; you have a lovely view of the city lights twinkling in the distance as you quaff your Bolly :)

I enjoyed the snapper in the SYD F Lounge the other week enormously. Goes very well with the Coldstream Pinot Noir, despite red wine and fish not normally being a combo. I did get a bone, but decided not to evict Neil Perry this week.

I thought Bollinger was off the menu now?

The printed menu the other day suggested three Champagnes on offer:
Taittinger NV
Veuve Clicquot NV
Delamotte NV

Although admitedly I didn't walk up to the bar and ask... I will have to perform some penegal QA of the menu on the next QF run to SIN :p

Bollinger was printed on the menu as of yesterday in Sydney
