Imagine what they’d do to a $30 bottle

A $20 bottle of plonk gets the decanter treatment?

EDIT: haven’t tasted it myself, and I’m sure perfectly nice
Sadly, yes :(
I remember having Peter Lehmann Stonewell in the decanter prior to Covid...
As as aside, it's a shame that Penfolds has put the great Max Schubert's name to such a (relatively) average drop.

You can get it from BWS for $22.50 per bottle if you buy six with an EDW membership ...

Pretty pathetic for the First Class Lounge !
I suspect that the reason that QF put that rubbish in the lounge is twofold: 1) surplus stock post COVID and 2) too many WPs still riding the wave of extensions, DSCs, etc. that naturally would have dropped to SG during this period. I know a number of them who ended up in this predicament and we won't see levels drop back to more 'normal' levels until mid next year at the earliest with it continuing at a heightened level until all status support has finished.

It's ridiculous how busy the F-lounge can get - I feel that it gets much busier post COVID than pre (say 2015-2019).

Ruby Cider – white rum, cranberry, apple cider, grenadin

That sounds good
