Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

There were 12 stores that I found this morning. Mostly in the East and northern beaches

I can confirm Beecroft and Round Corner definitely don't have it - they don't even stock them to begin with. Ah well, I needed to get out of the house to get some fresh air so it's all good.

Just got the 8 from Box Hill - all the 2019
Just opened a bottle - super dark fruit and quite rich! Really stoked with this at $14 a bottle - would’ve been very happy with it at the $26 it’s available for elsewhere! Drinkable now but constantly reading reviews on how well it cellars so very glad I got a case, will put 6-8 away for a few years.

Peos Estate have a special offer on the Four King Chardonnay 2016. $160 for 12 (was $336). I got a case and find it to be a very good value at that price ($13.91/bottle including delivery. RRP $28).
Wine is from Manjimup, WA. The Pinot Noir from the same range is also nice.

Thanks for this. I read your message just in time to pick something up before midnight! :)

Just FYI, Dan Murphy had 2018 Peos Four Kings Pinot Noir for $8 on clearance as under wraps deal. Great for the price, just a bit heavier body wise (IMHO) for Pinot Noir.

Great Southern's La Violetta Das Sakrileg Riesling 2019 has just been rated 95+pts by Mike Bennie and called one of his top 10 Australian rieslings, after the 2017 vintage was included in NYT Eric Asimov's top 12 wine moments last year (alongside Luke Lambert Nebbiolo 2017), and the 2016 was one of Max Allen's top 20 Australian rieslings in 2017

Langtons have a sale today. The Leconfield @$12.50 a bottle seems a good deal.
thanks heaps for posting about this - it made me do a search which found one of my favourite/best grenaches reduced :)

A few stores have Moss Wood for $100. What's a good target price for that one?
as low as $70

This is probably one of the best deals so far IMHO

is the Clarendon Hills Brookman Clarendon Merlot 2012 it is a BLOODY good drop - this is from someone who never likes Merlot!

I bought it last year from DM on clearance for $20 and was very impressed - I liked this Vivino review attached - it is spot on

That’s me! Hahaha - glad someone reads my reviews 😂

and yes great value drinking - you can’t get it for that price wholesale! (Unless you’re Dan’s and you order 70 pallets)
