Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I saw this and promptly deleted before I was too tempted. Anyone comment on how the '18 Bin 28 compares to the '17?
The deepest hue compared to all other 28's in the last decade. Very tight, didn't get much from it (taste buds were already in tannic overload), but seemed true to house style. I do recall a herbal character to the '17, similar in the '14, I thought very un-bin28-like, so personally would not buy those vintages.

My $150 mystery case arrived today;

2019 Penfolds Reserve Bin A Chardonnay
2016 Seppelt Drumborg Pinot Noir
2018 Wynns Black Label Cab Sav
2018 Coldstream Hills Reserve Shiraz
2016 Saltram Angaston Road Shiraz
2020 Leo Buring Leonay Eden Valley Riesling

I reckon I've had a win.
The Penfolds is $100 RRP?

It looks like solid value for $150, most the others are $30+ other than the Saltram I have no idea.

10 years ago I bought Petaluma Coonawarra cab merlot 2005, 1 is cork another is screw cap. I want to see the difference after aging. Last week I want to open them but I only found the cork version. Does anyone have this with the same vintage, stored in climate controlled environment and sealed with screw cap? If you have, will you be able to sell to me at a reasonable price? Appreciated.

I called Petaluma cellar door, they don't have this vintage.

Try langtons
I have 5-10 bottles of the wine, different vintages but no 2005.

It's risky, I don't know how they store the wine.
You will never know most of the time.

You will find though someone that was buying wine 15 years ago probably has a cellar, I'm in my late thirties and no one I know collects wine like me other than my older brother and a lot of his mates.

I think if someone has held onto a bottle for over 10-15 years they have either a cellar or have placed the wine where it's kept in the same conditions which I think is important.

Saying that, everyone's cellar temperature varies from perhaps 14 degrees to 20 degrees or year-round but I think the most important factor is that the temperature stays consistent throughout the year.

Either way, I'm sure it'll be fine if you can actually find the bottle.
