Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Just noticed the 707 Penfolds was corrected to become a 407.
I am a big fan of 707 when it is produced.

Winemarket - Secret 94 Point Barossa Valley Shiraz 2012
94-Point Barossa Shiraz HALF PRICE! $14.50/bottle
Colour
Dark beetroot

Nose

A rich perfume of savoury blackberry and cherry aromas with hints of cinammon and pepper.

Palate

A classic fruit driven Barossa Valley shiraz, this wine displays ripe mulberry and plum characteristics. The conscious integrations of oak results in subtle vanilla and spice. This wine has youthful, grippy tannins and will develop further in the bottle

I make this one McGuigan The Shortlist Shiraz.

Hi all
I am just returning the love after lurking on this site for months and not contributing.
Thanks to all who selflessly post great deals and coupons.

winemarket has a 20% off code Happybanker

I don't know when it expires, but it does include the usual exclusions.

I picked up the Zontes Footstep chocolate factory Shiraz 2013 for about $9.20 a bottle after cash rewards.

also the Dandelion wishing clock sav Blanc at $10.50 after discounts is a cracker.

Confirming the coupon still works.

Also confirming 'happybanker' still works - picked up the six pack of bog standard Marlborough SB (Brancott, Matua Shingle Peak & some woolworths brand - all good to offload at bbq's etc) + a bottle of Lanson NV for $58 delivered after all discounts/cashbacks. Even if I value the Lanson at $30, the other plonk comes in under a fiver a bottle.

Even better, picked up the Red pack with a bonus decanter. Contains:
Bleasdale Langhorne Creek Generations Shiraz 2012 - 1 Bottle. RRP $44 per bottle. 96 points – James Halliday
Wynns Black Label Cabernet 2012 - 1 Bottle. RRP $45 per bottle. 96 points – James Halliday
Gemtree Uncut McLaren Vale Shiraz 2012 - 1 Bottle. RRP $25 per bottle. 95 points – James Halliday
Brokenwood Harlequin Shiraz 2013 - 1 Bottle. RRP $24 per bottle.
Zontes Footstep Chocolate Factory McLaren Vale Shiraz 2013 - 1 Bottle. RRP $25 per bottle. 94 points – James Halliday
Richard Hamilton Burtons McLaren Vale Grenache 2013 - 1 Bottle. RRP $45 per bottle. 94 points – James Halliday

all for $13 a bottle after discounts. Not too shabby for some of those bottles, about standard for the Zonte's/Brokenwood/Gemtree

That deal came in about an hour after I pressed Go on my purchase. I went cheap on the mixed red/white pack ($69) for something to take away up-country over Easter. Just pack the unopened case in the wagon and go. I don't want to spoil the various inlaws. ;) With the coupon it ended up at $55 delivered. Pricepal returns another $5 odd.
Yeah I'm cheap.

Just curious.... Is winemarket woolworths? If so, why do they sell things like Zonte's and Dandelion through WM but not Dan's?

Yes, Wine Market is part of the Woolies empire, originally an offshoot of Cellarmasters as a clearance house for small lots, now works out of Langtons office I believe.

I can't answer your other question, other than that part of the Dandelion and Zonte business model is to inflate some RRP and then regularly clear stuff at half price or less, either as known or secret deals.

It appears you can only use the "happybanker" code for Winemarket once. I placed and order for myself and then tried to order a gift for the outlaws and I wouldn't apply the code. I didn't try clearing the browser history etc. YMMV.
