Big W Gift Card update: Firstly thanks again to Dr Ralph for alerting the AFF community to the current 10% off Big W Gift Card promo and thanks also for his advice that these indeed can be redeemed through Dan's.

I openly admit I was a tad sceptical about this so today I gave it a road test - I purchased a $100 card this evening at cost $90 and redeemed it through Dan's via CashRewards - transaction processed without a hitch.

Clearly I post this for everybody's benefit but as always YMMV - 'It's your money so spend it wisely!' - please don't be coming back and saying 'CE youse nothin' but a b**sted' if indeed someone this plan does not come to fruition for you.

Oh sorry I meant to address that AC - the Gift Cards are part of a Catalogue so I assume probably available for a week or so - I really don't know - others might know more.

The Big W catalog (at least here in VIC) has a few cards at 10% off, but not the Wish Gift Card (which is listed as able to be used at Dans and BWS - https://everydaygiftcards.com.au/gift-cards/learn-more/participatingstores.jsp ).

I asked about the Wish Gift Card in Big W today and they confirmed it wasn't on special. I need to purchase about $40 worth of things at Dan's tomorrow, so I'll try the Big W card and see how it goes; at worst I'll have a $40 or $50 Big W card at 10% off (I don't normally shop there, but can find uses for it eventually); at best I save another 10% at Dan's on top of whatever Cashrewards is doing at the moment :-)

Confirmed this morning - thanks Dr Ralph!

The Big W Gift card (pictured on the right in the quoted post), bought at a Big W store today, works for online / click and collect purchases at Dan Murphy's. When you get to the "Redeem gift card" (or some such phrase) option at checkout, the number is auto-filled to start with 628000, which the Big W card does :-)

Using that and Cashrewards (7%), I got some Oakridge Local Vineyard Swallowfield Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012 for about $18.20 each. I was surprised they were only $21.90 at my local DM (listed at $38 in various reviews I saw), but maybe they were clearing them out, I got the last ones here. Might have to hunt for more further afield ... ;-)
 
Has anyone tried buying wish cards at woolies and then buying big w cards at big w with them to maximize points via Amex platinum edge?
 
Dan's currently offering 2011 Cullen Diana Madeline at $99.75 - how does this price and year stack up to what our learned AFFers have purchased please?
