Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Anybody else having trouble with the McWilliams pre-sale cart? I'm trying to get some Mount Pleasant Old Paddock & Old Hill 2014 and its coming out at $300 not the advertised $270 for a case of 6.

Rather than forking out for Mount Pleasant Wines to get your hands on some high end "14 Hunter Shiraz, my recommendation would be to join up to the Thomas Wines club.

You just need to order two six packs of either his Shiraz or Semillion ranges in the year. Just over $20 a bottle on avg <BARGAIN>.

I've just signed up and will be receiving my mixed 6 pack of his 2014 Shiraz range in September. (The "14 vintage stuff is being distributed)

I'll probably request the Semilons arrive just in time for Xmas at the December delivery.

The "13 Shiraz range of his was magnificent when I tried it earlier in the year at the cellar door. The "14 range (released in May) is flying out the door and is supposed to be the best wine he's ever made.

Subscribed, didn't receive any offers from the email? How do i create an account?

Any impression?

It is the real deal, direct from the winery, but $50 is a big ask for a cleanskin.

I bought some of the 2008, you have to like the ripe, oaky style.

I don't need any more older reds so will pass on this one.

I had a 2009 Command around Christmas time and absolutely loved it, but then I am a sucker for old school Barossa shiraz. The cleanskin bit is somewhat of a turn off. I picked up a couple of the 2005 vintage (fully labelled) off Langtons recently for $55 each so I don't think it's that excellent of a deal

So I bought the Mystery CW131 Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 from winestar based on the original guess on Mystery Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 – Winestar 05 08 2016 | Tasting Sessions hoping that it was the Bowen Estate.

Turns out it was the Petaluma White Label. Not quite as exciting, but hopefully will still be ok.

I've found that site to be pretty useless. Seems like a lcombo of un-noteworthy deals, some copy/pastes from deals identified here, and others like yours that are just plain wrong. Not sure how that site is making any money.

The pricing isn't that bad, Vintage Cellars is currently doing $50 for 2 bottles BUT with $25 Cellar Shares...making them $12.50/btl.

One I was considering in the Cracka AMEX sale for around $14pb, has had some decent reviews so I think you'll be safe.

Would have loved some Bowen Estate at that price!
