I read on another wineblog some people were struggling a bit with their WineryLane orders, but as I expect you don't get much positive feedback - I bought a few cases in your Fathers day offer. My wine arrived in promptly and I managed to convert to two confirmed red wine drinkers to the merits of rose - the Eden Road rose was perfect for Spring drinking.

Thanks for the feedback Alphie. Great to hear your Rose story too. Like your converts, I've always been a red wine drinker myself but I recently discovered the Warramunda Marsanne and the Eden Road Pinot Gris. Both great wines for those who like something approaching red wine complexity for Spring/Summer drinking.

Cellarmasters have admitted their mistake. Told me they will refund the money onto my WISH card. I questioned this, but they assured me it could be done.

I don't think that they can load credit back onto an already issued WISH card? You might want to keep an eye on that.

I just had my similar problem resolved. They said they would send me a new gift card in the mail.

First Choice doing some buy one get one free offers in store. Seems offers are store specific and not available on-line. I purchased 2 each of the following;

2009 Maison Champy Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru Les Suchots (Pinot) @ $65
2013 Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier @ $55
2013 Glaetzer Amon-Ra @ $50
2012 Wynns V&A Lane Shiraz @ $29.50
2013 Moss Wood Amys @ $18
2013 Mt Langi Ghiran Cliff Edge Shiraz @ $15

Staff couldn't tell me how long the 2 for 1 deal was running for.
NB. Discount comes off the cheaper bottle so don't stack an expensive bottle with a cheapie!

Still going today,so may be a while stocks last deal....

Picked up another
Torbreck Runrig 2003 @ $125
Jim Barry Armagh 2006 @ 125

and thats the budget dusted till

Just realised with the $30 off $150 AMEX credit at First Choice, you can get a 2013 St Henri and a 2014 Bin 389 for $121, which is decent going.

Delivery is free for $150 and over so you don't even need a Click and Collect location.

Wish I had a store in my town for some of these BOGOF offers tho!

With the $50 off Cellarmasters deal (CR + Wish card) you can get 2 St Henri's for approx $122, if your taste swings that way.

i,m confused...can someone tell me what this CM $50 deal is?

Sorry mate, I got a card offering me $50 off for spends over $120 (I think it was about that anyway).

Technically it was only available on 12 packs but it seems to work on anything. Furthermore I just subtracted some numbers off my code and it continued to work again and again.

I got a few St Henri's and 6 Piries for $18 a pop (trying to convince my wife that low level champagne is surpassed by mid-range Aussie sparkling).

Edit - for clarity the St Henri's were ~$61 and the Pirie's were $18

On another note, The Den are offering 2015 St Halletts Black Clay Shiraz for under $11.00 a bottle in a 6 pack (with standard fare delivery) until tomorrow, anyone have any thoughts? Here's the link for those able to access it https://www.thedenlionco.com/specials/st-hallett-black-clay-2015.html?

It hits the spot for the price. I had it in the VA lounge in Sydney about a month ago. 46 people have rated it an average of 3.4 ⭐️ out of 5 on Vivino. Here's my two pennies worth: http://www.vivino.com/users/warren-dav/reviews/51091393

At $11, I doubt you'll be sending it back. But I doubt you'll be raving about it too. Hope that helps.

Can one "bottle-kick" in the same way you "tyre-kick"? I guess only at tastings but having your impressions Wozza is a definite boon, I wasn't really all that serious about it to be honest but certainly curious....

It certainly speaks to me Wozza. Buy something else WanD.

Have no fear the sirens have not coaxed me to the rocks BF, far too much earwax impeding the sonic waves for that! Actually it's Wine Direct that is constantly seeking to push me over the edge with some very tempting pre-xmas offers many of which stack up at better value IMHO than VM's....

My WISH card has been refunded twice. Got money back x 2 and the wine! Got to love Cellarmasters:)

No wonder I have too much wine!

I received an email last week inviting me to register my interest in using a Langton's broker via a link, and if I did they would speak to me about a $50 discount (sorry - voucher was a bit misleading )

I would assume this is available to anyone who has not used a broker in the past? Calling was an option - 1300 946 347

Called and got myself a broker. Send me PM with your details Steady, they said you get something for referring :)

Following up on my post here, looks like I have to spend $350 at Langtons. Have never used them and doubt I'd need a broker (as I doubt I'll be a regular purchaser from them). As a lover of reds only and having no space in my wine fridges, looking for quaffers (pinot, Cab Sauv, etc), any suggestions?

In fact, combine that with a referral from you and you'll get something *smacks head*. I think I'll do a boomy ;)

Now, here's my opportunity to try and cover up my public guff earlier. And pretend my earlier post (below) was in anticipation of QF WPs post above!! I'd agree with Steady. The OP&OH 14 (not the 13) and the Hares Chase 13 would be my picks.

Don't really need more wine but Langton's offer was too good to pass. My pick:

Halliday red mix dozen $270 (last year's mix):
3X Wynns Black Label Cab Sav 2014 (96 points).
3X Spinifex Esprit 2013 (96 points).
3X Hairloom Barossa Shiraz 2014 (95 points).
3X Hare's Chase Ironscraper Shiraz 2013 (94 points).

To get over the line I've added two 97 points Pinots:
1X Tolpuddle 2015 $68
1X Dawson & James 2014 $65

Total $403 - $200 = $203 or $14.5 per bottle.

Finlly got off my **** and before the offer finishes (12/12) registered for account online but trying to order was taking too long, so used the number from Steady above and have asked for either Steady's broker or (alternate) boomy's . You'll have something coming to your account Steady for the referral. Have my list from the bottles mentioned above. Waiting for the broker to call.

Thanks QF WP.

Langton's tell me I am unlikely to get a referral credit from Boomy now - has to do with different brokers...

Yes I told the CSA about both of you and she noticed different brokers, but I asked for yours in preference. Silly that they put that in the way of getting credit. Poor CS attitude in times like this.

I said that there are a lot of us in the same group that talk about and buy similar wines (okay, you'll have deeper pockets than me).

must be store specific..went home past one today and could not find any of those wines in the BOGOF category... did find plenty of $5 bottles at the special prices though..

Yes, I also dropped past my local on the way home. There wasn't much choice there either. I did manage to pick up some tasty botrytis Semillon for about $5 a bottle and some Peregrine Pinot Gris for $15 a bottle, which wasn't a bad buy. So it wasn't a total bust.

Also dropped into my local 1st Choice. Vast bulk of the BOGOFs were the <$20 category, with Devil's Lair Cab being about the only still wine above that. Did manage to grab the last bottle of Bollinger Grande Annee 2002 for 1/2 price (store manager said he'd sell it for that since he didn't have a second bottle). With the Amex $30 cashback, came to a net $85. 2002 supposedly a great vintage for Champers, so looking forward to trying this soon.
