Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Got a voucher from Myers for $100 off at Cellermasters....must spend at least $190 or more.Vouches is good for 7 days.
Any recommendations?

FWIW, Having had a fair share of pickings from CM over the last few months, I'd personally go for the McLean Farm Master Barossa Shiraz 2012 (Bob's last vintage) @$157 for 6, a cracking $26 bottle. Less with CR.Of the brands can't go passed the Wolf Blass Grey @ $18ea in 6...but thats me.

Road trip!

BTW - Given where it's located and the fact that its only been there for a couple of years Edmonson Park was unlikely to have had anything decent.

Wasnt expecting much at Edmonson Park either but luckily it's close to Costco so it's a slight diversion to pick up a pair of Amy's for $32. Goulburn had Ruinart vintage (forgot the year) for $280 and Braddon in CBR had Mouton, Margaux and another Chateau that I forgot the name of with this offer. Veuve Rose is everywhere.

No signs of cheap RunRig or Clonakilla yet.

anybody purchase any of the 2014 Geoff Hardy Meritage Red from a while back with any feedback? Decent vintage?

2013 was good as quaffer material. Was something like $6 a bottle. Not tried the 2014. I personally rank Family Selection over Meritage. Avoid the 2016 winemaker's shiraz on the tractor shed sale.

Thanks again Whodoesthat for the CM voucher. Used it together with Westpac and CR cashbacks for St. Henry 2013 twin pack. Comes down to < $39 p/bottle.

Last bottle of St Henri's I had was a 1985 that we took over to the Netherlands and consumed in the summer garden at my wife's aunt's place and you know what, it tasted bloody marvellous despite the intervening years and air miles!

That's about the right age and thing to do with St Henri.:) I have many vintages going back several years and when I open one I always wonder why I buy them. I usually open them at BBQs :)

My buys from First Choice today, per bottle after BOGOF:

Shaw + Smith M3 Chardonnay 2010 - $22
Moss Wood Amy's 2014 - $18
Ata Rangi Pinot Noir 2011 - $37.50

This was, of course, before further AMEX discounting.

Check your receipts, there should be a $10 off voucher for $80 spend that cohld
be used in subsequent purchases (if you haven't used up all your credits buying GC that is)

Thanks for the tip...I'll see what I can buy.

Don't forget to click through CashRewards for buy now at Langton's-

(or better still anyone without a broker can get free delivery and an extra $50 discount via my referral bringing it back to $56.56 a bottle)

North Rocks 1st Choice is the biggest waste of time to date, things that's known to be BOGOF like Grosset PH they just dropped it from $55 to $48 a bottle and nothing else applies. Naremburn is slightly better, picked up 2 bottles of 2010 Paringa Estate Pinot for $70. Grosset PH are all gone.

Oh and this supposed to end in Feb next year by studying the dates on those yellow tags.

First Choice North Wollongong - not much on offer in the current two for one deals.

Stand out was Arras Grand Vintage. 2 for $71

Picked up a 2012 and 2013 Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier for $80 at First Choice Southport today ... No problem buying $150 Cloes Myer gift cards for numerous Amexs. Price was $110 ... Received $10 off $80 on docket after buying first $150 gc ... Bonus! $20 off for gc, with $50 gc to make up $150.

Other wines available included:

Mollydooker Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz ... $55 for 2 (I think that's correct)
St Hallet (same as mentioned by another poster ) - $28 for 2.

At Varsity Lakes:

Peter Lehmann Moppity Shiraz - $28 for 2
St Hugo Shiraz Cab - $40 for 2

EDIT:

A couple more I recall being available:

Southport: Dr Loosen 2014 Riesling

Varsity Lakes: Devils Lair Cab Sauv $33 for 2
