Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

The November offer did provide credits though, IIRC, despite having the same "instore only" restriction.

sorry but there was no such restriction given that online retail = click frenzy = not in-store :)

Whilst both in-store and online transactions appear as "Boccaccio Cellars Balwyn" on my statements, online orders are processed via eWay as per transaction emails/receipts from last November's Online Retail offer, not EFTPOS/Mondex like in-store.

Just did a tester $80 @ boccs - no confirmation email
in Nov, i got confirmations for everything.
Going to wait 3 days see if a credit comes through, if not Ill see if they can manually process, or cancel order

I suspect they've become smarter and need a certain merchant ID and terminal ID's for this to trigger which they've conveniently set to ignore eWay's terminal ID.

Offer now available (along with BP: Spend $40, get $10 back, up to 2 times) but...

STOP - Wait - you will/may not receive credit back for online orders, so instead perhaps visit the store when you're here for a few days in March? :)
Hadn't even thought of that.. could be a neat solution! Now to find something of tourist value in the area to sell to mrs667!

Could be just me or the system that emails not flowing, would be interesting for a few people to try and see if any confirmation emails come through for any other online merchants listed.
It's a win win..if it doesn't work, I save some $$$, if it works i get some vino

Been a bit of a drought in the BWS clearance stakes of late for me, but managed to pick up 3x 2006 de Bortoli Noble One 375ml bottles along with a 2011 Leeuwin Estate Art Series Cabernet Sauvignon for $70 last night, along with a $20 bottle of Moutard Pere et Fils Rose Champagne across the way in Liquorland. Better than a poke in the eye with a burnt stick, as my dad would say.

PricePal has 8.1% cashback at BWS atm

I recall a post recently about CB @ BWS so this can be considered a reminder if it is the same thing

Goes well with the 25% off for 6 or more bottles.

Surely one of Melbourne's best shops for wine, cheese and cured meats is enough of a tourist attraction? :)

In case you're unaware from their weekly emails, they have free wine and cheese/food tastings every weekend.

Unlikely to work with clearance offers which will be store specific.

This might be the case. Been chatting to a helpful bloke from Bocc - he can't put it through the registers like you were in store, unfortunately. I will wait 3 days and see if I get the credit. Has anybody else tried? For myself, I have ALWAYS received confirmation emails when I manually register to any of the AMEX deals and I hit the spend. But I have heard of people not getting emails but credit still posting. Fingers crossed.

Serendipity led me to Graysonline & scored

Elliot Rocke Pink Ice Wine 2010 (12 x 375mL), Mudgee, NSW.

My first ever auction :!: Probably over-paid but enjoyed the thrill of the chase. Lucky I'm not a gambler ...
I know they 'cheated' in this but I had some real Austrian & German eis wines many years ago & just 'had' to go for it!

Is this still available?

All I can see is this link:

Dessert Wines 2010 Auction (0001-2448903) | GraysWine Australia

which says it was $2.84 a bottle

I've had it before from the winery and enjoyed it. At under $3 a bottle you got a great bargain!

Steady and others, what are your thoughts on this case of 6? Obviously I know your thoughts on Tolpuddle. Just a bit too rich for my wallet, particularly given the concurrent Epiqure offer

Langton's also offering today by phone only via broker the Irvine Grand Merlot 2012 for $55 per bottle in 6 packs delivered .....RRP is around $110

For those that like Merlot.. pretty decent pricing

I like the Pooley, Josef Chromy & Tolpuddle. I have only heard good things about the Clarence House and Apsley Gorge, not familiar with the Dawson James.

Seems like a quality mix, but it doesn't really seem like a good deal price wise IMO
