Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

For those trying to source the awesome 2013 Hare's Chase Ironscraper Shiraz at a decent price (as I have been for the last month) Dan's has now shifted stock to a 'Secret Selection'. The usual 5% egift and 3.5% CR apply to bring it down to $18.21/bottle if click & collect available. Not as great a price as the 2015 was at $14, but definitely still worth it in my eyes.

Thanks to wozza for the original recommendation of this wine.

Secret Selections Barossa Shiraz 2013

The 2015 (95 point TP) also back in stock at $15/bottle. (Confirmed by adding to cart from previous order.)

Pretty sure its Leconfield

I've been on the lookout for more Leconfield; it's my new favourite. Unfortunately the look sold out on this deal now.
I'm a Langton's n00b... do the do a referral credit for new users? if so would someone like to refer me? :)

I will send you the info - not sure if it is still offered but you can try

Any value in the current CellarOne sale?

All $10/bottle
Hardys Oomoo Shiraz
St Hallett Gamekeepers Shiraz Grenache Touriga
Amberley Secret Lane Cab Merlot

I'm spoilt from last years Leconfield and Dandelion Mystery deals (94-95pts @ $7-9/bottle) so need an excuse to justify the price

My guesses at todays DM Secret Selection email:

Secret Selections Eden Valley Shiraz 2014 - i'm fairly certain this is Sorby Adams The Thing.

Today's JD Cellars Secret Wine #111 is the 2013 Thompson Estate Chardonnay I think.

Bob Cartwright makes it, and he was the previous senior wine maker at Leeuwin Estate. It's quite good, but my cellar is fit to burst ATM so I won't be getting any.

I think it is The Specialist Chardonnay - I agree about Bob Cartwright, but the $ were too high. See the below link, which matches the JD email very closely.

For those chasing quaffers, a few mentions belows

Received this code in email. Im not chasing anything from winerylane at the moment but thought others might be interested.

Use code AUSTRALIA-100 for $100 off 12 bottles or more at winerylane. A couple decent wines I've had previously.

Woods Crampton 2015 Black Label Shiraz $18

Woods Crampton 2016 White Label Shiraz $11.60

Castelli Estate 2016 Estate Riesling $11.60

Also, cellermasters have the below. Decent prices with a $50 or $25 voucher and egift/CR

2014 Laurence of Margaret River Icon Cabernet Sauvignon @ $150 6pack (free delivery)

2015 Zonte's Footstep Avalon Tree Cabernet Sauvignon @ $150 12pack (free delivery)

Secret Selections Barossa Valley Shiraz Mataro 2004

Is this the Murray Street Vineyards Benno? If so any personal experiences?

Yes it is, despite the 'New' tag I swear DM have had this on offer before,. A friend brought it around to try and I remember thinking there was a reason it was being flogged off (could have been from Cracka). If you like well aged wine you might get something out of it, but to me it was over the hill , lacking vibrancy, acidity, tannin and heavy on stewed fruit. Tasted about 6 months ago, maybe slightly more.

For anyone interested, Langton's Mystery cases are back.
Unfortunately the Premium $599 dozens are sold out, but I believe the 'Value' $299 ones will be on sale tomorrow.

Bought a value one last year and thought it was okay. Will probably buy another this time around.
