Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

So Dan's have 389 advertised at $59.95 in 6's:

I just called Dan's and advised Costco have it at $55 and they are missing sales because they do not have lowest price as they like to spruik - just watch price over next 24hrs or so. I have dome this when I saw 1st Choice advertise something cheaper and within an hour Dan's had dropped their online price to beat it - might work with Costco - may not - let's see.

Or tackle it from another front - get Vintage Cellar to price match Costco and see how soon Uncle Dan responds.

My understanding is that they will only match the local competition.
Dan's will match any bricks and mortar retailer that is not membership based - I did not ask them to match Costco I just advised they are not the cheapest retailer as they spruik and that Costco being cheaper is costing them sales - it might work - it may not.

I paid** a ticket price of $49.90 for the 2012 on release at Dan's. (With the usual two step dropping the actual cost further).

Now take 9% CR and 7.5% Wish off and I'll be having a dozen of them thanks!

LOL ... was just about to post up that they'd dropped their price. Good work Cruiser. Might add a few to the Wynns/Leconfield pack so I can use them to buy the Vintec fridge.

Awesome work Cruiser. Might pick up 2 cases for the vintec promo. I've never got any CR rebate when purchasing with vouchers. Anyone successful in getting their rebate back from CR using vouchers?

For anyone that likes Brookland Valley wines & is a member of the Liquor Barons Advantage Club they have the Estate versions of the Cab Merlot & Chardonnay on sale for $20 a bottle, the Cab Merlot is $40 at Dans. I've had the 2012 Verse 1 Cab Merlot & that was a very good wine for around the $10-$15 mark.

Not sure if the code I posted earlier is still operational (see below) to further reduce the price or depending on the restrictions maybe even get a bottle for free.

Received an email from WC about Howard Park new releases at Liquor Barons also mentioned a code for $20 off your first order (halliday20) doesn't have to be of HP wine. LB also do Click & Collect which I didn't know about.

Went into my local DM store to buy a pinot and succumbed to the Filsell offer too. Good drinking @ < $25 and will improve further with cellaring.IMG_2392.jpg

Whilst not great value I was contemplating the 3 Wynns Black Label 2008 Cab and 3x Leconfield 2009 Cab and filling out the order for free delivery with the 2012 Filsell. I have had the superb 2009 Filsell. What is the 2012 like?

Fruit forward as you would expect from a young wine. Good balance between acid and tannins with a pleasing length to the finish. I have some 02's and 06's lurking in the cellar. You can enjoy this now or lay them down a while. Worth buying at this price point IMHO.

Any ideas on the identity of Secret Selections Heathcote Shiraz?

$108 per case of 6 (valued at $197.35).
