Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

That's good to know. I've got couple a couple of 96s left which I was going to look at next year being 20 years on. Might have to find an auspicious occasion and crack one sooner!

The ten buck Metala (recent VC promo) is a great mid week quaffer and I suspect it will improve with age too.View attachment 51435

I had a couple of glasses last night :p Had the 2008 or 2009 or 2010 Cellar Release from Dan's the weekend before last - $18.99. Wasn't that great after drinking a Shingleback Shiraz and St Hubert Shiraz.

How many bottles did you buy? And did you get a bottle or two of Ingoldby Shiraz for $10?

I think I still have a couple of the Shingleback left. They were a 10 purchase late last year. Might try a Krondorf Growers Shiraz tonight (Scalzi & Schwarz) bought recently for around $4. Cellarmasters list them at much more than this, but I will reserve judgement. ;)

+1 that Metala is quite a decent quaffer. Only problem is, it's more expensive than some of the quaffers from Vinomofo.

The Metala white label isn't really a cellaring wine is it? I thought it was a 'made to drink' wine.

I bought a case last September. I put it down...briefly. Last I looked it was gone. ;)
Have started tonight on the Krondorf Growers Shiraz. It is surprisingly quite good.

Agreed. My Dad used to drink these in the 70s. Stoneyfell Vineyard? Some of the survivors have been surprisingly good so thought I might do a 'time capsule' with them and see how they travel. The stelvins should travel well. Kind of like the local Rotary Clubs did when I was a kid. Bury today's goods in a hole to be excavated for examination in the future! At ten bucks a throw I reckon it's worth the price of admission!

Received an email from WC about Howard Park new releases at Liquor Barons also mentioned a code for $20 off your first order (halliday20) doesn't have to be of HP wine. LB also do Click & Collect which I didn't know about.

Picked up another bottle of Metala, quite like that thing hmmm.

Asked the blokes about the event on the 30th, got told don't expect another huge sale like the one back in May. Makes me a sad panda.

Just got an offer from the "Penfolds Vintec" team - spend $100 and get a free $70- Wolf Blass

TWE1407_header.jpg

Receive a free Wolf Blass Grey Label Shiraz Magnum valued at $70 when you spend $100 on Penfolds (excluding Koonunga Hill, Thomas Hyland and Rawsons Retreat), Wolf Blass (excluding Eaglehawk & Red Label), Wynns, Devils Lair (excluding Fifth Leg), Seppelt, Pepperjack and Coldstream Hills wines in one transaction during the promotion period for off premise consumption from any licensed liquor retailer in Australia, includes online purchases

Offer closed! WTF!!

Purchased my wine last weekend and went to make the claim today (after earlier trying to make a claim unsuccessfully because their website wasn't working properly) only to find that the offer has closed early. Was supposed to be open until July 6.
