Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

If I am not mistaken Winemarket is "Wine warehouse outlet" for Cellarmasters, part of Woolies.
Maybe due to this forum, demands is great.

Correct, same company, prices can be quite different though. In general Winemarket is used to sell stuff that's hard to move, end of lines, don't think Filsell is in this category though!

Must be typo, probably meant to be $87.
DM currently offers it for $85.
Got some as well for $50 during the sale :)

You may want to check some independent wine reviews for the Arras yourself.
Novel concept - are you saying I should not trust my taste buds - I should read reviews from some other dude and follow whatever they say? You always choose your wines this way?

No, but reviews/awards/scores can be a useful way of disciminating given the huge amount of products available that I don't have the ability or opportunity to sample myself.

Without reviews/scores I doubt I would have tried the Arras. I'm glad I did.

If you've tried the Arras and don't like then walk away. There are plenty of other offerings. But if you haven't tried it, consider some of the reviews available for it and perhaps then give it a try.

Leconfield 2013 Cabarnet Sauvignon at Dans is $27.60 as part of 6 but at Wine Direct it is only $220.00/Dozen with free delivery.

Go to the Wine Direct website and type Secret into the search box and you will see the dozen that is now not so secret.

Also, if you ring* they will sell you a dozen Lost Buoy Grenache for $90 not $25/bottle as per the site or $30 cellar door.

*Must ring - not available on the site.

Absolute cheers for this one Buzzard; I jumped on it when you first posted and it's an absolute cracker of a wine for $7.50/btl! We've already gone through 4 bottles - glad I snapped up 2 cases!

I trust my taste buds totally. Krug first,Moët second in champagnes.
With reds it would be a draw between Diana Madeline, Silver Oak Cab Sav, 707 and Hill of Grace.
With whites I don't bother.
So they are my best picks.
For every day consumption you just let your taste buds decide.

I give up!!!

I had the same argument with the good doctor. If it doesn't come from "Halliday 5 star winery" it's all horrible, apparently.

I like plenty of wines that don't carry the biggest accolades, wine is open to interpretation and sadly, keyboard warriors are allowed to say what they please.

I say, form your own opinion
