Could be either 2013 or 2014... Both good vintages from reviews

This is Dan's so could be ANY vintage. Go into store if needing to check vintage before purchase. Never trust what it says online (except for Cellar releases).

Yep, my last 2 orders were rejected too... about $80 worth of cashback. I got in touch and they're looking into it.

Me too. Never had a problem until recently. It relies on the retailer confirming, so it would appear close to impossible to 'prove'.

Update: CR put customer first and sorted it out and quite quickly too.

Didn't they have a 2-for-1 sale on just about everything last year (before Diane sold up)? Maybe offloading some old stock whilst they make way for a rebranding or something. Frankly I find the bottles a bit of a PITA - look nice, painful to store.

Dan Murphys running 2014 Laurance Melot @ $120 for 2 x 6-packs. Is it a good buy?

Kinda curious myself, the online reviews....well they're basically non-existent (Halliday might dig the dirt a bit?) seems cheap enough!
Not had the straight Merlot, but have the 2012 Cab Merlot (picked up around $14 at Grays) and the 2011 Cabernet (picked up around $20 at Grays). Both good wines. We have a local store here in WA that often has their wines at similar prices and I'm sure they have had the Merlot at $14 before. So is $20 for the Merlot a good deal? Probably not bad, but personally I would pass.

It's $10/bottle. :) Would that change your recommendation?

Personally, I've only had their Chardonnay, which was nice enough. Not that keen to acquire more as their bottles are a bit of a PITA to store.

I've always struggled to get past the pretentious grounds of the winery, and the bottles, but I guess those are my prejudices. A few of my friends really love the wine, but it has always been middling to below average for my taste. Often has an unpleasant over-oakiness with huge vanilla flavours which I suspect is introduced through woodchips. At $10 a bottle it's hard to argue though.

Laurance wines were sold last year.

Anyone tried Grant Burge Corryton Estate Cab Sav?
Cracka offer it for $60 (they say down from $185).
I've only heard about Corryton Park, not the Estate.
