And sorry for any panic buying yesterday, but this actually ends on Wednesday:

As alluded to in the chardonnay thread, "FWC" is a newish member-only website like Cellar One, though in this case, related to a major distributor/wholesaler/importer. Not only are all their wines discounted by at least 20%, but they are also offering an extra $50 off for spending $250 or more. I've listed some of the well-reviewed/rated ones below - pm me for an invite, though there are no referral benefits:
  • Quartz Reef Blanc de Blanc 2013 $72
  • Louis Roederer Brut Premier NV $65
  • Champagne Duval-Leroy Fleur de Champagne Brut Premier Cru NV $61
  • Shaw + Smith M3 Chardonnay 2016 $42
  • Dog Point Chardonnay 2016 $31.50
  • Giant Steps Yarra Valley Chardonnay 2018 $26
  • Willow Bridge Estate G1-10 Chardonnay 2017 $26
  • Yangarra Blanc 2018 $21
  • In Dreams Chardonnay 2017 $20.50
  • Yangarra High Sands Grenache 2014 $118.50
  • Yangarra High Sands Grenache 2013 $103.50

Hey qaz is it possible to break down the numbers concerning the Xanadu 2016 Cab Sav at MWG as their site shows it as $36.99 per bottle in a straight six and I can't see how the combined referral and first purchase credits reduce it down to such a low price even using the $31.50 price matching (admittedly maths isn't my strongest suit)....:)

I think that would be for a single bottle delivered. Price - voucher + delivery.

$31.50 price match - $30 voucher + $9.95 delivery = $11.45 :)

EDIT - CORRECTION: ($36.99 x 3 = $110.97) - $30 voucher + $9.95 delivery - ($36.99 - $31.50) x 3 price match refund = $74.45 / 3
($30 voucher has $99 minimum spend)

Have they changed the referral from $99 minimum spend?

Sorry, since when has that been the case, or has my memory failed? :(

Thanks for letting me/us know and I'll update my previous posts to make it $24.82:

($36.99 x 3 = $110.97) - $30 voucher + $9.95 delivery - ($36.99 - $31.50) x 3 price match refund = $74.45 / 3

Thanks @qaz, picked up a dozen Xanadu CS 2016 from Dans, spread across personal and business usage. Looking forward to my collection date of 17 April.

How do you get MyWineGuy to price match? is it an email? Price seems back up to $38
Dans out of Stock.
From my Forum:
Simon - Are you going to match their price for those of us who have already pre-ordered with you?

100% - just flick an email to myself - [email protected] (probably a bit slower at responding) or [email protected] (much more expedient) and we can refund you the difference!

Haselgrove Twist Primitivo at First Choice. A decent primitivo, not sure of the vintage yet. Comes back at $12.48 a bottle (if buying 3 + 3free) using $10 newsletter signup, and 3.15% CR ($5.15 CR)

Thanks for the lead Chonka, the last decent Zinfandel I had was the Churchview St Johns from WA and that was a pretty ballsy number without being inelegant. Certainly a cheap price using the various deductions but the buggers want to sting me $18.95 for the privilege of delivery to Tas, kind of takes a bit of the gilt off the gingerbreado_O

Edit: orders over $40 free shipping with promo code FREEDELIVERY today only apparently....

Yes, for price-matching at My Wine Guy, just order online, then email them with pricing details, to receive refund of the difference:

Dan's aren't out of stock - try a different location/store - however, given that Gary Walsh has now rated it 95pts on Winefront, the equal highest of any Xanadu cabernet (2013 Stevens Road, 2011 Reserve, 2009 Stevens Road were all 95pts; previous highest for the standard was 2009's 94pts ), it probably won't be too much longer until it is :)

Thanks for this post @redbigot, I didn’t consider price matching on bottles purchased prior to cheaper offerings - MWG has already confirmed a refund.

As I don’t buy much from many of the retailers qaz promotes price matching with I hadn’t taken enough notice

With 3 bottles (+3free) you will get free shipping anyway. Sign up to newsletter and the next morning you will get a $10 discount code. CR came back at full price for 6 bottles.

Another nice Zin I tried recently was the Murphy-Goode Liars Dice 2013 from DM, but it's not on special anymore
