Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Thanks Dr.

Is the Rockcliffe Third Reef Shiraz 2017 any good.

Forum newbie here by the way. Happy to have discovered this site. Would love to be an active member but cannot due to work schedule and time difference. Hope to contribute more down the line.
Just opened one of these
Very perfumed nose. Almost candy - wife commented that it was musk lifesavers.

Medium bodied. Berries and spice. Soft tannins. Nicely balanced.

I have almost no experience with WA shiraz so hard to make comparisons but this is nice and I'm enjoying it.

Latest JD Cellars secret wine is Aylesbury The Pater Cabernet - https://www.aylesburyestate.com.au/products-1/the-pater-series-cabernet-sauvignon

Never heard of the winery, and I thought I knew WA well...

It's in the Ferguson Valley, inland a bit south-east of Bunbury and well north of Margaret River, fairly new as a wine-growing region.
This particular wine scored 90 from JH.
The "6 generations" are 5 generations of farming and one generation of grape growing, starting from plantings in 1998.

hard to find much info about it. Is the wine good aka worth buying - I appreciate good is subjective...

I bought a case of the JD Chianti a month or two ago and was fairly disapointed

BWS have a 30% off code valid until 27/8
Use 300OFFWINE at checkout.

actual code 30OFFWINE (Extra 0 in Buzzard's post looks to be a typo)
Note: despite a fairly badly coded checkout system - this does appear to stack with the 25% applied for buying in bundles of 6 - though the lower total doesn't display until after hitting confirm on the higher subtotal.

Which ends up with 6 Jacob's creek double barrel shiraz for $63.00 for example:

3 Paringa Pinot and 3 Stonier coming out at less than $20 a bottle. Thats pretty decent

Correct.. proving the point. Need the 25% off then the 30% off to get that price. Paringa starting price at BWS is $37.00 when even Dans off the shelf $26.60 in six.... anyway if you can find a deal then go for it !

$110.25 for:
2 x Paringa PE
2 x 42 degrees south
1 x Nanny Goat
1 x Stonier

All Pinot. $18.38 a bottle. Pick Up
Edit: Tried the cashback too but that may get denied

Thanks for the heads up Buzzard.

RE BWS - yes expensive. This 30% off can work though.

The Paringa Estate Pinot Noir (next one up from the PE and a good pinot IMO) is $75 at BWS. It's $56.25 in a half dozen. Dan's have it at $61.75 in a half dozen. Quick google indicates similar pricing. Take 30% off $56.25 (doesn't apply to the pre discount pricing) and it brings the per bottle price down to $39.38.

GH MUMM at under $40 - couple $ less than Dans.
Tattinger ends up at $42 if you want good Champagne - get my wife off my back for spending $ on the Paringa.

Anyway, work out what you want and see how it works out.

Just a tip re the current BWS offer. The code only appears to work once. I tried to go back and use it again and got the following:

'Oops, that coupon code has already been used the maximum number of times. '

My target is $55.

Am very hopeful that with different stacking option, that by the end of the year this is achievable.

Let me know if and when this happens please!...I would love to be able to afford to buy more!!
@kpc time to move on this now! 389 under $50 with the BWS deal listed in the previous posts - stack BWS + add WISH + cashrewards. Vintages vary per store.

added 6 bottles to cart, but no 25% applied? was only church block so cant see that being excluded. Am I missing something for the 25% off?

Edit: "Advertised prices already include the 25% discount" so is that telling me Church Block at $24 a bottle is a 25% discount? Considering you can pick this up ever other day at DM for $15.95 I cant see how.
