Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I'd take as many Art Series Chardonnay as I could get for $60. It's a great wine. $20 is outrageous.
that makes me feel silly for getting it for $87 the other week.

I managed to get a few bottles of Leeuwin Estate Arts Series Chardy via price beat at Dan's for $60 per bottle ... is that a decent deal? keen to see what's the best deal you guys have seen for that drop?
what did you use for a price match?

Bought some 2011 alkoomi blackbutt on cellarmasters using the 30% winedrop code and 17.5 cashback using their app. Cb hasn't tracked and now I'll have to go though the boring missing cashback rigmarole. Wonder if they'll deny it on basis of using the discount code... the perils of stacking!

CYBER MONDAY -
cellarmasters - 30% off site wide, then 30% cash back through shop back or cash rewards

liquorland- ShopBack 25% ($25 cap) should be able to stack with flybuy bonus 2000 points for spend over $50
Thanks for the heads up ,!

Cellarmasters worked for me, double stacked on the
Altero Nero Davola dozen $215 down to $110. Received a tracking email from CR within a minute.

A great drop from Mike Farmilo, the former Penfolds winemaker.

And yes, I picked the day when the cb was only 17.5, instead of the 30 available on friday and today.... aaargh!

Whoever came up with the idea for Black Friday / Cyber Monday etc etc clearly isn't a keen wine buyer. Shipping all these purchases in a heat wave is not ideal.
It's an American concept, so the weather wasnt a consideration so much.

Does anyone remember when st Hallet faith was priced similarly to Bin 28 and 128?
Now that TWE has to “pivot to other markets” we might see some realistic pricing.

So I joined Vintage Cellars on the weekend. They were the only place I could find a French Sancerre that I love. I also bought a few other very good specials (some delicious French Rose' as well), because of the black friday weekend sales. I got free shipping and also found a code for a further 5% off, so I am pretty happy with my shopping. I have just received an email to say my order is on its way.

Not sure where you are located, but their heat policy tries to place a bit of burden on the purchaser.

besides some previous picks still being available:

15% off @ Thomas Wines with VCMEMBER - free delivery with $200 orders before discounts (i.e. $170 spend after 15% off) - makes Thomas Wines Joe’s Block Semillon 2020 - MB95 - $25.50 delivered in 7pk
2020 Thomas Wines Joe's Block Semillon - MB95 - $25.50 @ Different Drop - ends midday next Monday (referrals)

when/after ordering, ask them to hold your wine and delay dispatch until further notice to avoid hot weather

has anyone here tried the 2012 Clarendon Hills Merlot - that was a DM underwraps last week for $12? I only got 2 and i'm not sure if I should be drinking now or holding a touch longer.

I have tried the 2013 CH Merlot and I find it can still go a few more years longer. PS: I do usually prefer a bit older 10 yrs plus.
My guess 2012 is ready to go or you can decant 1-2 hrs before.

Merlots don't usually age so well. Less than 10 years I feel. Also heard rumors some might have been sent o/s and returned (not sure how true this is) so better drink earlier than later as maybe heat affected and a bit flat.

Thinking the Mitolo Savitar but not 100% sure.
I thought that too when I did a search, but it is marketed only as shiraz, whereas this is Syrah, which makes me think Clarendon - maybe hickinbotham given the $110 RRP
