Interesting. After my efforts to get some locally in SA, Dan's rang to cancel orders (no stock) and wouldn't entertain getting it shipped from interstate (Tas and Qld both have reasonable stock). Not fussed, was opportunistic purchase anyway.NFI - just ordered online on Sat - email arrives today saying Order shipped from Launceston - go figure
Looks likeHi,
Does anyone know the JD secret deal today?
...Secret Wine # 305
"This is gorgeously composed and elegantly expressed on the nose showing nectarine, fresh fig, rockmelon and vanillin oak characters, leading to a concentrated palate that’s brilliantly focused and persistent. It’s delightfully textured with creamy mouthfeel, finishing long and refined. At its best: 2021 to 2024. Price: $45.00" 94 Points Anon (...at winery's request)
You know the rules...as always, my Secret Wine's identity won't be revealed until it arrives safely on your doorstep, fully labelled and ready to enjoy. Below are a list of clues to whet your appetite, but that's all I'm allowed to reveal.
To protect the vineyard and the good name they've built, we have a gentleman's agreement to release this quality drop without divulging the name of the wine or vineyard. It's a game of trust, between not only the winemaker and myself (that I won't reveal it's origin), but also myself and you... relying on me to always deliver the best VALUE at HALF PRICE! My reputation depends on it.

I’ve had this Chardonnay before through a DM under wraps. I’m not a fan, to be honest. 94 points from SK seems about rightAnd looks like a Sam Kim 94 points thrown in!
For the next 4 hours only, the beautiful Barossa St Hallett Black Clay Shiraz is yours for just $11.50 per bottle, that's only $69 per case of 6! Aromas of vibrant dark berries with supple spiciness and bright mulberry and blackcurrant fruit flavours. The Biscay soil that this wine is grown in produces wines with berry compote and summer pudding flavours, which make this is a great partner for cheesy pasta and pizza. This offer will only last for the next 4 hours, so don't miss out on this stunning St Hallett Shiraz at this sensational price now. And remember, delivery is free so you may as well grab a few cases whilst you can! |
It's fair value. I'd buy if you need something to drink now, otherwise wait for better valued offerings.Thoughts on the black clay anyone?
